Once again, another great title by author Gwen Ellis. The Read and Share Toddler Bible is a wonderful book geared to toward infants and toddlers. This hardcover book is filled with various well-loved Bible stories from both the new and old testament. Illustrations are beautifully done by artist Steve Smallman for both the bonus DVD and the Bible story book. At the end of each story there a small tid-bit of information for parents or grandparents to encourage discussion with children of each stor ...more

First off, let me just say this book deserves more than 5 stars! My 5 year old HAD a favorite bible out of the 3 kids bibles she has. She really loved her bible and it would honestly take alot to top that favorite bible. But The Ultimate DVD Bible did just that! The DVD is fantastically done, my 5 year old would rather watch it again than watch nickelodeon! Personally, the only fault I can find with the DVD is the narrator's voice is not the perfect choice in my opinion, but its really not that ...more

Esmé (28 months) and I were in love with this Read and Share Toddler Bible (stories retold by Gwen Ellis; recommended audience ages 1-4) the moment we ripped open the package.

The illustrations (by Steve Smallman) are perfect for capturing a toddler's attention. There are 40 Bible stories, each in a vocabulary Esmé can easily follow, as well as an engaging style that gets the toddler involved. The lessons of God’s love are relevant and easy to understand.

There are suggested activities following e

This is another children's story book about Jesus, but it's a good one. In it, the author has taken 13 well-known stories about Jesus, and condensed them to one page in a format for toddlers to understand. The stories chosen include, Jesus growing up, Jesus' baptism, Jesus healing a sick boy, Jesus raising a girl from the dead, walking on water, welcoming children, Zaccheus, a blind ma

“Crrrrrreak! Crrrrrreak! God shut the door of the boat. It started to rain. Pitter-patter. Pitter-patter. The wind blew. Oooo! Oooooo! Inside the boat, everyone was snug and safe.“ This quote is from the story "Noah and the Big Boat", one of the many wonderful stories you will find in Gwen Ellis’ new Read and Share Toddler Bible.

Toddlers will love spending hours upon hours of quality time with their parents while reading and participating in the parent-child interactive learning suggestions. As

This book is a Bible for young children, full of beautiful illustrations and wonderful stories. Created to share the Word of God with toddlers, it serves as a great tool for introducing many of the important stories from the Bible from an early age. This book is perfect for toddlers and young children just learning to read.

I found this children's Bible to be thorough and simple. Each story references the Scripture from which it was taken, and at the end of each section there is a special note fo

Complete with 13 short and sweet stories about Jesus’s life and some lively illustrations, this sturdy little board book is a great way to get kids reading and learning about Jesus. With every turn of the page, parents and young readers alike will find a new story, taken from the International Children’s Bible, a large and colorful illustration, and (my personal favorite) a little take-away question on every page.

I really enjoyed this book, and of course, loved reading it to Micah. The pages ar

Creative Madness Mama reviews Read and Share Bible

One our of favorite gifts to give and receive this past Christmas is the Read and Share Bible from Tommy Nelson. There are several things that we love about this Bible. The imagery for one is great, soft and descriptive. My 18 month old loves to just lay on the floor and pour over the pages studying them. Another thing I love is that when you open it, it stays on the page you've opened to, which is great for a toddler that doesn't keeper her hands on it non stop. Then the be

When I first opened up the book my first thought was how cute the illustrations were. I knew that my daughter Julianna (age 4) would like it. This book is geared toward very young children as the stories are very short in length. There are 40 stories in total. The stories are all adapted from the Bible. There is a DVD that come with the book that contains animated versions of the stories from the book. It runs 60 minutes in length. Julianna and my son, Ben~8yrs~ both watched in on Sunday after c ...more

The Read and Share Toddler Bible is a great gift for that toddler in your life. It is 192 pages of Bible stories that are told in simple and short words. Each story starts with a reference so that parents can teach kids where they can find the story in the Bible. The pictures are simple and colorful. At the end of each story there is either an activity for parents to do with their child or something to discuss with the child. There are a total of forty stories. As a bonus a DVD is included with ...more

Thomas Nelson has created a children's Bible that has over 200 Bible accounts written in story format based on the International Children's Bible. The illustrations are bright and attention capturing while remaining accurate to Bible times.

Each Bible account/story includes a title, the passage it is taken from, easy-to-read text, and a thought provoking question at the end. I like the format and really have enjoyed using the questions to start good conversations with my 4 and 6-year-olds.

Toddlers and pre-schoolers will love this bright colorful illustrated Bible story book. There are 40 Bible stories along with a 60-minute DVD of 14 of the more popular Bible stories animated. there is an interactive suggestion after each story for reinforcement of the story. Stories range from creation and into the New Testament.

In fact, this would have been a five-star review, but I find the illustrations a tad off-putting, as they seem cartoonish, considering the subjects. However, I would agree that a pre-schooler may feel differently about them!

Loved getting this and reading it with Bella on her first birthday and first Christmas at home. Thanks to her grandma and grandpa Herbert!
