Right now my biggest gripe with this series is the LOOOOOOONG wait between each novel. For crying out loud the first book came out in 1998 and in 2007 we are only at book 3? Not to mention that the triangle between Zachary, Karigan, and Estora was left pretty much right were it was at the end of t...more...

An enjoyable read by Kristen Britain! My only complaint is that it's been so long since the last book, I was unfamiliar with some of the characters ... and I suspect it will be the same case with Book #4, apparently commissioned, but not yet written. For those who enjoy well written fantasy, I might...more...

I've loved the whole series, and can't wait till the last one comes out!
For anyone who is concerned that K and Z won't get together, I can't imagine that Kristen Britain would do that to us. Although I can't seem to figure out how it might come about. Almost the wh...more...

Four stars might be a little high for this book, so consider that I am rating it as 4 stars within the genre of young adult fantasy. I thought this was a strong sequel and I am hopeful that some of the interesting story lines (for example about Karigan's father) will be continued in future books.
