Dude, why do I read shit like this!? This is a huge mess of appalling continuity-obsessed fanboy wank. Oh yeah, 'cause I'm a fucking geek. Seriously, this has a bunch of ugly, veiny superheroes trying to kill each other. And then Connor Kent, the Superboy that I liked, dies for no very good reason. Except that the Schuster estate owns the rights to Superboy, and DC hates paying royalties (see: Flex Mentallo).

This was more about me doing my dork homework and reading the damn thing than it was any real desire to experience the story, I'll be honest. That said, I did actually enjoy it alright for what it was, although I don't think I'll ever actually spend money on it. (I got this one out of the library.)
Like Crisis On Infinite Earths before it, Infinite Crisis has alot of strange reasons going into why the hell it exists--some of them are good reasons, some are not--and the end result is a mixed b...more

Everyone.
How do you top 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', one of the greatest cosmic sagas in superhero comics history since, well, Kirby's 'New Gods'? Thankfully, Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez don't try, and they even enlist the cover art services of the original penciller, the Bronx's very own George Perez! Gotta respect such R.E.S.P.E.C.T. I think Johns is a stronger writer than Marv Wolfman, and Phil Jimenez a talented artist in his own right, but really now, how do you surpass Perez' achievement of the fi...more

I mostly only read this so that I could better follow along with 52, and because it came after Identity Crisis which I did kind of like. It was harder to follow than the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. You definitely need to be into the DCU in a big way to get much out of this story. Overall, as far as major crossovers go, it wasn't too horrible. It sets up some of the interesting stuff that's happening now, so at least it has a purpose other than a summer sales boost.

Another "The Crossover That Will Change The (Insert either DC or Marvel here) Universe - FOREVER!" Uhm, that is until the next big crossover.
Must say- I did like the relationships between Ole Skool Superman and Superboy Prime. Sad to see Batman make good with the rest of the DC heroes but it served his purpose, so there.
A good death scene also helps and this one had a really touching one but how permanent could it really be?

This storyline was convoluted and crunched into a series that should have been much longer. I picked up this book not knowing what had all transpired priviously in the DCU and this is most likly why I felt so lost. In addition, in the back interview section there were many mentions of the authors needing more pages/issues and it shows.
Unless you are an up todate DCU diehard I would say skip this trade.

Infinite Crisis isn't bad but it's not good either. DC seems not to know what to do with their core characters thus retconning their background stories via one 'crisis' after another.

Another fun series from DC featuring their multitudes of characters. Now I just need to read Crisis on Infinite Earths so I can understand the background of Alex Luther et al better.

I haven't really gotten into it yet. I realized there was about 10 books I needed to read before this one. So I may go to something else.

This book left me confused, but I can't deny that it was entertaining. The countdown to infinite crisis books were better in my opinion.

James lent to me. Excellent trip to fix the DC Universe to return to old-fashioned morals. Or at least trying a little harder.

A good story to restart the DC Universe. And I will never forget Superboy, the character who introduce me to comics.

Rips off Marvels Secret Wars, but it was a good way to get rid of all of DC's alternate Earths.
