experience stylist + vintage, well-preserved items + amazing rooms and spaces + talented photographer = this book. unfortunately, the book doesn't show one how to incorporate vintage or found items if you don't have a great space to begin with, if you lack a stylist and if you don't have the vision of a photographer. and seriously, if you have a huge loft with great light and an eames chair, you could probably put a tin can filled with cheerios on the coffee table and it would look good.

recommends it for:
Vintage buffs, junk collectors, and those who like to pore over pages of eclectic interiors.
Incorporating vintage styling into modern interiors and re-using or decorating with found objects seems to be becoming popular, and this is one of a few books I've seen on the topic. I enjoyed the ideas for incorporating vintage furnishings from different eras (the book focuses on mid century), but the most interesting part was smaller found items used in creative ways for lighting, displays, etc.

This is one of my favorite sources of inspiration for interior decorating, and I refer back to it often for ideas. So lovely!
