This book should come with a warning. I went into knowing it would be bad, but thinking it would be the kind of bad I could laugh at. Instead, it ended up being something that I could barely stomach. My reason for saying this book should come with a warning is not because it's bad, but because there are numerous instances of rape within it. Now it's not that I think issues like rape should be avoided in books, but it needs to be handled by someone who is capable of addressing such a sensitive su ...more

Very over the top prose and very over the top hero. Yet strangely compelling. Kept needing breaks from it though. Was not realistic for the times it was writing about. Heroine was very forward . Everybody was very accepting of openly sexual behaviour, really over the top as well. Also there is no way in those times that the heroine would have considered a Chinese suitor. If you are willing to suspend believe and want a crazy storyline then this is it.

I almost did not read this book due to the first chapter. It was very graphic with erotica. I don't mind erotica but I it has to have a storyline. If I had not read a Faerie Fated Forever, I probably would not have read this book. The author has very graphic sex scenes but the storyline is very well written and intriguing. I did enjoy the book and am glad that I continued reading. Great romance with intense feelings.
3.5- didn't care for the ending

Mary Anne Graham practices law in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she lives with her husband, her youngest son and her eldest, when he's home from UCF.

She writes romances from a unique "over the top" point of view. Her stories feature heroes who fall so much in love that they go a little batty, acting the way women often wish their lovers would behave. She adores writing historicals, but some o
