Duck-Duck-Goose! Help our two little feathered friends find their pumpkin this Halloween. Could it be under the water? Or maybe in a leaf pile? Kids will keep guessing what silly place will they hunt for the pumpkin next? This lighthearted and humorous board book will be a delight to any child age 0-3 years! Awash in bright fall-dominated colors of yellow, brown and orange, Find A Pumpkin will entice your child into finding their own pumpkin too. Don’t miss the other bestselling Duck & Goose ser

A cute, sweetly illustrated fall board book. The plot is very gentle. Duck and Goose see their friend Thistle carrying a pumpkin and decide to get one of their own. They proceed to search for a pumpkin in a variety of silliness places such as in an apple tree and under the water in the pond untill Thistle reappears and suggests they look in the pumpkin patch.
This would make a great "Baby's First Halloween" present. It would also be an excellent choice for anti-Hallowe More...

We took this out of the Lewiston Library's board book section. I can't remember now if Natalie chose this one or if I did because it had pumpkins. Duck and Goose are cute, and the background illustrations show the beauty of fall. Duck and Goose explore the outdoors to find a pumpkin looking in all the wrong places (including a nice illustration of a leaf pile). Older kids (preschoolers) might find this funny.

We love Duck and Goose around here - how could you NOT? They are so stinking cute! Love the pics, the simple text, and the Fall theme. Ellie is a big fan too!
We had to return it to the library a few weeks ago, but our friend Misty recently (and unknowingly) saved the day when she presented this to us as a Halloween gift. Thanks, Misty!

More straightforward than the original Duck and Goose.
The original has the subject headings: interpersonal relations-fiction, ducks-fiction, geese-fiction. This one, just pumpkins-fiction.
I have to admit, I'm not complaining. Duck/geese interpersonal relations are sometimes just a little too much for bedtime.

Lucy LOVES this book. We all enjoy fall-themed books around here, and the gorgeous oranges and deep-sky blues in the illustrations make you appreciate the colors of autumn. The story is witty, and it includes yes/no questions that keep a toddler's interest. I want to find more of his books.

As Thistle the duck walks by with his pumpkin, Goose and Duck wonder where their pumpkin is. They look in a log, a leaf pile, a tree, in the water and on a tree stump. Alas, no pumpkin. That is until Thistle suggests they try the pumpkin patch.
Great seek-and-find for babies/toddlers.

Melanie library book November 2011
I don't like this book too much because I think it helped Melanie learn to say "no" to any question that is asked. Cute when we are reading the book, not so cute the rest of the time.

A very cute Autumn or Halloween book in which duck and goose go in search of a pumpkin of their own. They alternate in offering places it might be. Recommend for younger children.

The Duck and Goose books by Tad Hill (there are many!) are great to share with your toddler or early pre-schooler. Fun, simple stories, with bright and adorable illustrations!

The words may not be memorable, but the illustrations are beautiful! They made me cry wishing that Autumn would come to Arizona.

Duck & Goose look everywhere for a pumpkin of their very own, but they just can't seem to find one until someone directs them to the pumpkin patch. Toddlers will like this cute, colorful, and sturdy board book.

Another great Duck & Goose book. Simple, colorful pictures and just a few words per page as duck and goose search for a pumpkin.

These characters could not be any more adorable or comical. The simple text/story is great for even the littlest ones.
