This book was absolutely stunning. I love the way it is divided up into five parts; Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Parties. Each chapter begins with short descriptions of memories and events that invoke the essence of that season which are filled with all things magical and scrumptious. Some of the recipes look absolutely delicious and I can't wait to try them.
(It kind of reminds me of Sarah Addison Allen books with all that enchanted cooking).
The most incredible book of cake and cookie recipes I have ever come across. High fat, high calorie... and wonderful results for everything I have tried. The book is nicely presented too (other than the VERY pink cover) with anecdotes about the author's childhood and memories of baking from her mother's kitchen. Highly recommended... so long as you're not trying to lose weight.
