Relating very much to this fearless account of one woman's journey to reclaim the sacred feminine in her own family as she grieves the loss of her own mother. There is some comfort for anyone who has lost something they never felt they quite had. I wanted to love this book. It seemed like a subject I'd really be interested in and the author is obviously very smart!

I have a mom who died when I was 18 -- around the same age as the author so that part I could related to.

I was fascinated by Straub's story. Wow, her life was so different from mine. I enjoyed reading it as far as a memoir, but not as something that gave me wisdom on how to lean into my female attributes.
