Book three in the Perfect Timing Series The words 'have sex with a man' can change everything, especially when they're written on a straight man's to do list. Rigby and Brennan have been best friends forever. Growing up and going away to university didn't alter that. Brennan coming out of the closet to his straight best friend didn't change anything either. But when Brenna ...more

Another great effort from Kim! I read this one in one sitting and didn't put it down until the last page. Longer than some of her other books it was well fleshed out and interesting from start to finish.

This is a Gay For You storyline that is pretty endearing. Although the D/s power struggle that is part of all of KD's past m/m efforts is represented, it is less of the focus and sometimes sidetracks Brennan's story a bit. He waffles between being the dominant in his real life and fantasies and

Excellent m/m romance about two guys - one gay, one straight - who have been best friends since they were small and are now roommates at college. The gay guy's been quietly in love with his best friend for years, but has been resigned to never being able to touch him... until he finds his friend's list of things to experience, which segues from kissing and having sex with women (all checked off) to kissing a man (not checked off)... This was my first Kim Dare book, and remains my very favorite. ...more

Very sweet story, but also a very hot one. It's best friends turn lovers with one of them being a classic straight guy who's only gay for his best friend.
I liked that the story would seem cliche, but I couldn't get bored with it, nor did I feel like I saw it a hundred times before because the characters were very vivid and the premise with the "to-do list" was amusing and original. It also has some deep lines like “I’m not scared you’d screw around, I’m scared I’d let you” which really made me

This is one of the most romantic love story I have read lately.

Brennan and Rigby are best friends since forever. It's not clearly said, but I have the feeling that they come from middle-class families that probably lived in the same neighborhood and their parents were probably friends. For all their life, where it was Brennan there was also Rigby: schools, holidays and now college, always together and more or less in the same house or room. Even in college they are roommate. Brennan is the wiser

So Kim Dare gave this book to me because I won a little contest. I'm glad she did and I'm glad I read it because BDSM stuff sometimes makes me nervous. I might not have read this just by the description, so I'm really glad she shared this with me.Brennan was so cute and so desperate. There's a part in here when he admits to himself and later to Rigby that he'll really do anything for the man he loves that just about broke my heart. It was so self-sacrificing! Thank God Rigby turns out to be a go ...more

A really nice story about two best friends, one of whom has been in love with the other for years.

When Brennan realizes that Rigby has a to-do list which includes trying gay sex, all bets are off. The process of the two best friends becoming more is gradual. I liked how Kim Dare approached it, making the emotions of both characters clear and adding subtle elements of D/s without letting that aspect take over.

3 *** unrealistic but slightly hot stars

Not all books are designed to be realistic- and this wasn't realistic.

2 guys- 1 straight, 1 gay- best friends since children.
Brennan has been in love with his straight best friend for years and has never made a move... until he finds Rigby's list

It's not likely that a straight man is going to want to make a list of things he would like to try- and add sex with another man as one of those things to do

I enjoyed this book and it didn't take me long to get

I really really like this book and can see now why people are fans of Kim Dare. I read this book out of order but it seemed like you could read the book as a standalone. OMG it was good and hot especially if you like GFY story lines.

I freaking loved these guys. It's pretty short so we don't get a whole lot of story but what we do get is sweet and hot and oh, so nice! Best friends to lovers done very well.

Another great one by Kim Dare. Rig and Bren's story is wonderful!

2.5 stars. Brennan is surprised when he finds "have sex with a man" on his best friend's to-do-list. If that's what Rigby wants, Brenn -- who's been secretly in love with Rigby for years -- is more than happy to be his experiment. He kisses Rigby, and you know it, Rigby loves it.

I had a hard time getting into this one. At one point, I thought it was going to be a DNF. Too much sex, and I felt Rigby was taking advantage of Brenn. I was also very tired of talk about that damn list. I wanted them

Brennan and Rigby have been friends since elementary school and are now roommates at university. Rigby is fine with Brennan being gay though he’s straight and he has always felt the need to take care of Brennan. One day while cleaning Brennan finds a “to do” list of Rigby’s which has “kiss a guy” and other guy sex things on it. He has been in love with Rigby for years hiding it but suddenly kisses him. Rigby doesn’t freak and decides he wants to try other things on the list. Brennan tries to put ...more

Okay, so it came as no surprise to me that I loved this book. As soon as I read the blurb: Kim Dare writing a friends-to-lovers! I knew I'd love it. My only question is how it took me so long to hear about this book!

I loved both Rigby and Brennan. Their friendship seemed believable, and I loved getting to read about that friendship developing into something more.

I think my absolute favorite thing about the book is that Rigby doesn't immediately discount all of his years of enjoying sex with wome

Something about this book just hit me in all the right places. I think because I can be a huge sucker for GFY romances if they are done correctly.

Rigby and Brennan have been best friends forever and are now roommates at college. Brennan has been in love with Rigby since he's come out of the closet, but Rigby is as straight as a ruler. While cleaning their room, Brennan comes across a "to-do" list that changes the rules forever. The words "have sex with a man" make Brennan realize that Rigby may

Yes, it is hard sometimes to swallow (no pun intended) gay for you stories but if anyone can get it right it is author Kim Dare. Time to do is the story of two best friends, one gay (Brennan), one straight (Rigby) and how both are unable to communicate exactly how they feel about the other. But it's Rigby's to do list that spurs both to action--actually it is one item on the list --the one that says have sex with a guy. And so begins an incredible little story of two friends who tick off one to ...more

Time To Do was a superb book with a fresh twist to an old storyline. Gay boy Brennan has been in love with his best friend and college roommate ever since he can remember. Falling in love with Rigby is how he figured out that he had a preference for boys in the first place.

When Bren finds a to-do list that Rigby made a long time ago he begins to wonder if his best friend is as straight as he thinks. This to-do list has 'Have Sex With a Guy' written very clearly on it with a sub-section of other

This story didn't work for me.

The whole romantic relationship seems like a negotiation to me rather than something natural and built on emotions... Also, yes these characters are best friends, but I only know that because it is stated that they are best friends. I would have liked to have been shown this rather than told this

Also there are some dominance/submissive and bondage elements to this as well. Rigby: " You belong to me. I, in a completely different way belong to you." hmm.. I

Hmm... Maybe it's not real 5, but rather 4,5 stars. I'm not sure.
When I found this novel, I was hesitant. This is Kim Dare, seriously! I know what kind of stories she creates. I'm not into BDSM in my books, so I avoid her work. But there is "gay for you" theme, so I was ready to try. I'm a real sucker for it (I mean, "gay for you" storyline.), when it's done well. And... Guess what?! In my opinion, it's done really good. In addition, we can find here "friends to lovers" motive, which I also ado

Very sweet and enjoyable brief novella about a gay university student who has been in love with his ‘straight’ roommate since childhood.

Brennan stumbles across Rigby’s “To Do” list of sexual experiences he wants to have while in college. Brennan is startled to see that it includes “Kiss a guy,” and more. Against both of their better judgments, the two find themselves working together to tick items off the list.

The outcome is predictable, but it was a fun journey to get there. Playful sex scenes,

I've been in a GFY mood lately so I picked this.
It was fab.
It was yummy hotness! It also made me want to cry a little.
I feel like I should be saying "Poor Brennan" not knowing if he was coming or going, and being willing to accept anything.
But I felt more for Rigby, he's having to deal with new feelings and with Brennan's insecurity and lack of faith.
It's also not often that I read a character acknowledge their bisexual orientation and insist on keeping it regardless of which gender they settl

I really enjoyed this story. It was a little longer than most Kim Dare stories I've read, which was nice and a little different take on the GFY trope.

Sighs... I'm disappointed. Minimal character development and practically no plot, just porking. Almost PWP. Meh.

I always love Kim Dare’s books! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the “gay for you” theme developed in this one. Despite never having done anything with a guy before, Rigby was pretty unflappable as he started checking off his to do list with his best friend Brennan. And before he knew it, Rigby realized that Brennan was always the most important person in his life – guy or not. I just wish that Brennan had been a little more trusting when Rigby said he wasn’t playing with him, and I also wish these t ...more

Probably close to 3.5, but I rounded up. My biggest problem was (view spoiler) It kinda works and it kinda doesn't. But, letting go of that fact, I could get into the story and really enjoy it.

This is a fun book exploring what might happen if the best friend of a gay man suddenly
decides he might not be completely 'straight' after all. In some ways it's a comedy of errors, but it's interesting to watch the characters come to terms with these new feelings they have for each other. It's a short read but fuñ for a 'happily ever after' ending!

I'd have to agree with the reviewer who said this is a Love For You more than gfy. It's because it's Brennan that Rigby wants a man. He wants Bren. The on,y issue I had was my own- I kept reading the name as Rugby. So sweet and lovely
