This was the first book by this author and the simplistic way it was written makes it easy to discern. The hero is a model, who isn't a happy person, he never has been since his childhood was hell, he was used bys his alcoholic mother and never had a great upbringing, being raised as a child actor in a hell-hole home. I loved this book. It was quick, but with real emotional punch. Emily was sweet, but not in a dull way. And Sonny was so alone and broken...glad they found each other.

One of my favorite romance stories. This is just a nice easy read. I like the setting and the uniqueness of Emily and the simplicity of the life she leads.
I feel bad for Sonny, sorry that he has been through so much and harbors such feelings of despair. Its a sweet story and it makes you want to shake them at times because they have such problems telling each other their true feelings.
I also like Emily's sisters, they are a cute bunch!
