Prey (Shifters #4)
Play? Right. My Pride is under fire from all sides, my father's authority is in question and my lover is in exile. Which means I haven't laid eyes on Marc's gorgeous face in months. And with a new mother and an I-know-everything teenager under my protection, I don't exactly have time to fantasize about ever seeing him again.
Kısaca konumuz şöyle ; Faythe'in babası Alfa Greg'in başı derttedir. ...more
I was already a massive fan of this series but I honestly think that this is the best book yet. There was so much going on & I literally couldn't put it down! Marc is in exile which is bad enough but when he goes missing Faythe is out ...more
I have to say, I loved Faythe in PREY. Sometimes series make me a little nervous because if they're really good, it b ...more
When we last left our werecat shifters, things weren’t looking so great. Greg Sanders’ leadership was being challenged by his rival, Cal Malone. Cal petitioned the Territorial Council to remove Greg Sanders from his position as Council Head. Cal is ruthless and resorts to a lot of dirty tricks to get his way. Cal Malone won’t rest until every tabby is declawed, powerless, pregnant, and married to one of his boys.
Central to this problem is a dispute for control of the tabbies. Female werecats ar ...more
Wow. Just. Wow.
I am still in shock. So much stress, so much heartache, so many fateful decisions.
I understand the need to sometimes have a much-loved character die. It becomes necessary to further the storyline and strengthen characters that needed to grow. It’s awfully sad, tempers flare and disastrous things happen. That being said…
I love Jace. I really do, but after “the tequila incident”, he went into full on manipulation mode. Faythe was instantly regretting what happened, ev ...more
(view spoiler)[a. Marc is kidnapped
b. something bad happens to someone in the Pride
c. there is finally some Jace action! I've always thought he was much cuter than Marc, and his scenes with Faythe are much steamier. It's not ideal that this happened while Marc was missing and that she was cheatin ...more
This series just gets better and better. Each book ramps up the action and you know it is all leading to something huge. At the same time though, each book has its own distinct storyline so you aren’t left hanging. I’m left wanting more but not without resolution. Prey was a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to make time to finish these books.
Faythe is such a great heroine. She is so strong and feisty and witty. I love her determinatio ...more

I didn't like this one as much as I liked the first 3 books in this series. They were all 4★ for me. I think I'm just not a fan of love triangles. I prefer books where there's the long drawn out sexual tension with one character instead of the triangle. It just made me so uncomfortable when her & Jace hooked up while Marc was missing. Yes, I can do without Marc's temper, but shit, she has put that man through hell. And just when she finally decides she loves him and wants ...more
Something else that I find mildly irritating: Faythe's habitual observation that the person on the other end of the line can't see her shaking/nodding her head. The werecats communicate often via phone, so Faythe notices herself doing this a lot. I should've taken notes while listening because there was another habit of hers t ...more
Prey begins with Faythe and a group of enforcers on their way to Manx's hearing. They make a pit stop along the way to visit the recently exiled Marc in his new home and get ambushed by a large group of stray werecats. Pretty unusual, and suspicious, for strays to gather in such a big group. Then Marc goes missing...yes, I said missing! Marc mysterious disappearance fuels the ...more
I think this book is a perfect example of an emotional rollercoaster. There were parts where I was LMAO, others where I was pissed off, others where I was very excited, and others where I was just crying my eyeballs out (which of course, is anatomically impossible, lol). Not that this is a bad thing…I love a book with emotion! It’s wh ...more
In Prey, Faythe has to deal with heartbreak after heartbreak. How Faythe managed to deal with all the things that happened to her, I don’t know. I was in floods of tears at several points while reading this book. So unbearably sad, I can’t tell you.

This series has consistently gotten better with each book. There were a lot of turning points for many of the characters in this book and it was difficult to read at certain points. I know authors kill characters for storyline purposes, but it doesn't always make for happy endings. I will be anxious to read the next book to find out how the stories are going to progress. I was hesistnat about starting this book because I knew that would happen too! Overall, I have found mysel ...more
Faythe, Faythe, Faythe. How could you?! What were you thinking?! You are ganna be in big big big trouble sista.
Ethan, sniff sniff, why you?! Oh I cried over you. You were so loved :(
Marc, you are so, sigh, just out of unconsciousness and Faythe is your first word. Ahhhhh.

Nothing is resolved with Marc, Jace and Faythe... nothing is resolved with the council or the other Alphas. It's just frustrating!!
I'll still read the next one, but it's come to the point where I don't care enough to buy the books.. and it ...more
However, there are some pretty big character inconsistencies that I couldn't actually see happening. Mainly between Faythe and Jace - simply because I thought that if something were to happen there it would have either been a big blow out in the first moments or a slow evolution and it was neither. I'm going to see how that evolv ...more
The very end..........I knew that was going to happen, I mean how much more can this family take?!?
