Sometimes playing cat and mouse is no game…

Play? Right. My Pride is under fire from all sides, my father's authority is in question and my lover is in exile. Which means I haven't laid eyes on Marc's gorgeous face in months. And with a new mother and an I-know-everything teenager under my protection, I don't exactly have time to fantasize about ever seeing him again.

Kısaca konumuz şöyle ; Faythe'in babası Alfa Greg'in başı derttedir.

This was honestly the best one so far. Mark missing, and Ethan! I loved Ethan so much! I was so sad when that happened, the ending was a shocker, I was not expecting that at all. I love all the action, and you see different sides of every character, and a good example of a majorly changed character would be Jace. He went from a fun to be around person to a serious possible alpha. The fight at the end got a little nasty but I wouldn't expect anything different. This was the best book out of them ...more

This is the 4th book in the Shifters series so it is very difficult to review without giving spoilers for previous books. If you're new to the series I strongly recommend you start reading from the beginning as this really is a series you need to read in order.

I was already a massive fan of this series but I honestly think that this is the best book yet. There was so much going on & I literally couldn't put it down! Marc is in exile which is bad enough but when he goes missing Faythe is out
Ms. Vincent takes us deeper into the politics that surround Faythe and the decisions she has made. What really makes this book fantastic is the mixture of moments that just tear out your heart and the moments that make it beat about a mile a minute. Who needs skydiving when you've got Faythe and her fellow cats? That's enough of a kick to get any adrenaline junky bouncing around.

I have to say, I loved Faythe in PREY. Sometimes series make me a little nervous because if they're really good, it b

When we last left our werecat shifters, things weren’t looking so great. Greg Sanders’ leadership was being challenged by his rival, Cal Malone. Cal petitioned the Territorial Council to remove Greg Sanders from his position as Council Head. Cal is ruthless and resorts to a lot of dirty tricks to get his way. Cal Malone won’t rest until every tabby is declawed, powerless, pregnant, and married to one of his boys.

Central to this problem is a dispute for control of the tabbies. Female werecats ar
Wow. Just. Wow.
I am still in shock. So much stress, so much heartache, so many fateful decisions.
I understand the need to sometimes have a much-loved character die. It becomes necessary to further the storyline and strengthen characters that needed to grow. It’s awfully sad, tempers flare and disastrous things happen. That being said…
I love Jace. I really do, but after “the tequila incident”, he went into full on manipulation mode. Faythe was instantly regretting what happened, ev

Well, things are finally starting to get interesting! I had to really push to get through books 1-3 and there are still a lot of flaws in this book, but it's saved by a few interesting plot developments.

This series just gets better and better. Each book ramps up the action and you know it is all leading to something huge. At the same time though, each book has its own distinct storyline so you aren’t left hanging. I’m left wanting more but not without resolution. Prey was a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to make time to finish these books.

Faythe is such a great heroine. She is so strong and feisty and witty. I love her determinatio
I cannot begin to explain how emotional 'Prey' was. My heart didn't stop racing the entire time I was reading and I found myself crying so often. Rachel Vincent's characters have captured my heart and attention so deeply. I'm stuck in a supernatural world unlike others I've read in so long. 'Prey' was such an intense book. I keep thinking the series can't affect me emotionally any more than the previous book, but 'Prey' was way more intense than 'Pride'.

'Prey' is full of emotional and physical

I didn't like this one as much as I liked the first 3 books in this series. They were all 4★ for me. I think I'm just not a fan of love triangles. I prefer books where there's the long drawn out sexual tension with one character instead of the triangle. It just made me so uncomfortable when her & Jace hooked up while Marc was missing. Yes, I can do without Marc's temper, but shit, she has put that man through hell. And just when she finally decides she loves him and wants

I would enjoy this series a lot more if it weren't for Faythe. There are moments when I see the appeal of this character, but for the most part, I simply find her annoying.

Something else that I find mildly irritating: Faythe's habitual observation that the person on the other end of the line can't see her shaking/nodding her head. The werecats communicate often via phone, so Faythe notices herself doing this a lot. I should've taken notes while listening because there was another habit of hers t

This is the five star worthy installment in this series that I've been waiting for! There is A LOT going on in this book!

Prey begins with Faythe and a group of enforcers on their way to Manx's hearing. They make a pit stop along the way to visit the recently exiled Marc in his new home and get ambushed by a large group of stray werecats. Pretty unusual, and suspicious, for strays to gather in such a big group. Then Marc goes missing...yes, I said missing! Marc mysterious disappearance fuels the

Major Spoilers! So before you click on 'View Spoiler' think about you really want this book ruined? Unless you've already read the book, then go ahead :)lol

I think this book is a perfect example of an emotional rollercoaster. There were parts where I was LMAO, others where I was pissed off, others where I was very excited, and others where I was just crying my eyeballs out (which of course, is anatomically impossible, lol). Not that this is a bad thing…I love a book with emotion! It’s wh
I cannot even begin to explain to you just how amazing this book is! I love this series; as you read through the story arc, each book gets better than the last, but knowing that didn’t prepare me in any way for just how incredible Prey is!

In Prey, Faythe has to deal with heartbreak after heartbreak. How Faythe managed to deal with all the things that happened to her, I don’t know. I was in floods of tears at several points while reading this book. So unbearably sad, I can’t tell you.

We see Fayth
You've got to hand it to Rachel Vincent. She can churn out a page-turner like nobody's business. And, really, with the way she tends to end each novel on a spectacular cliffhanger, I appreciate how close together Mira has released the last two. Installment number five, Shift Shifters 5, is due out in just one month and so I'm particularly glad I waited awhile to read PREY as the end of this one left me even more bereft than the last. A feat I didn't think was actually possible considering the co ...more
This series has consistently gotten better with each book. There were a lot of turning points for many of the characters in this book and it was difficult to read at certain points. I know authors kill characters for storyline purposes, but it doesn't always make for happy endings. I will be anxious to read the next book to find out how the stories are going to progress. I was hesistnat about starting this book because I knew that would happen too! Overall, I have found mysel
This was so sad, I felt like apart of me no longer exist. I hate it when a good character dies. I literally cried through the rest of this book. Damn it, I'm still crying. Like I didn't expect it. Theres a lot going on in this book, so much dark drama. You know the negative side of power and having enemies. I know these characters are imaginary but they seem so real and such close friends that I forget that I'm at home and not in Texas, Mississippi, or even Georgia. That how into this series I ...more

Whoa, this series gets better with each book. I don't know how I am going to wait till the next one! Spoilers Ahead - Marc is NOT going to be happy when he finds out what happened with Faythe and Jace. I love Jace to death but I still can't understand how Faythe could hurt Marc like that. I'm not sure how he will be able to forgive her for this one and still retain his self respect. Faythe would never stand for it if Marc did that to her. However, it seems that Faythe may be having some serious ...more
Sheesh! That was one non stop action packed read...I was on the edge of my chair, bed, car seat the whole way through...

Faythe, Faythe, Faythe. How could you?! What were you thinking?! You are ganna be in big big big trouble sista.
Ethan, sniff sniff, why you?! Oh I cried over you. You were so loved :(
Marc, you are so, sigh, just out of unconsciousness and Faythe is your first word. Ahhhhh.

Calvin Malone. Have I mentioned that I hate you with a passion? You slimy, disgusting, morally reprehensibl
I liked this one.. but I'm so tired of unresolved conflicts. Just because an author wants to have another book in the series doesn't mean that they have to have a continuous story and never end anything. I like to read a book that has some sort of conclusion.

Nothing is resolved with Marc, Jace and Faythe... nothing is resolved with the council or the other Alphas. It's just frustrating!!

I'll still read the next one, but it's come to the point where I don't care enough to buy the books.. and it
First of all I'm really excited by the end of this book, mainly because I didn't expect it even after things began to happen to the characters that hinted towards this.

However, there are some pretty big character inconsistencies that I couldn't actually see happening. Mainly between Faythe and Jace - simply because I thought that if something were to happen there it would have either been a big blow out in the first moments or a slow evolution and it was neither. I'm going to see how that evolv

This book was so sad :-( if its not one thing its another. It had me on the verge of tears several times.
The very end..........I knew that was going to happen, I mean how much more can this family take?!?
Wow. I loved and hated this book. I loved and hated what Vincent did in it. Huge. Huge bold moves. The story line was good, it followed along a nice quick path. Then it hit. Wow. I can't say anything without spoilers She delivered a one two punch in a matter of chapters. Then asked for an ounce of forgiveness in the last line of the book, trying to make up for her atrocity in some small way. Of course, till you've read the book, this means nothing. I pulled another all nighter with th ...more
