by
Lora Leigh
The sizzling new erotic tale from New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh
Marty Mathews had always known about the secret, forbidden pleasures that the women she had grown up with enjoyed. Women whose husbands or lovers were members of the exclusive “Club,” where they took a selected “third” into their beds. And there is one man—a dangerous, forbidden man—who is

I'm going to give this 2.5 stars because it seemed like the same-old/same-old ala oreo sandwich. There is a little bit of a terrorist catching thing going on but even then it didn't grab me. They did have an Arabian hero which is a nice change of pace. I don't see that in many books. The ending even was a little ho-hum to me. I think my problem may be I keep comparing these books to the Breed series, and I shouldn't do that. Or maybe I should. Maybe all of her books/series should be as goo...more

I started off really enjoying this book and thought maybe this book would end up being one of my favorites of the series. But it started to fizzle a bit toward the middle and the end. It was still a good read, but I thought it could have been better in a few ways, especially in one area.
Series Note:
This book is the 11th in the Bound Hearts series about men who take pleasure in sharing their lover with another. I would say this book could probably ...more

After waiting for Khalid's book am just a tad disappointed. While the book was still enjoyable and i really liked the characters, i wish certain things had been different.
Why did it take almost to the end of the book for major issues to be resolved? I have no trouble with LL making me wait until the very end for the first "I love yous" if she wants, but to not reveal the secrets that cement trust so far into the book was too much. Had it been just the H & H, i think it wou...more

I hardly know where to begin with this book--it had so much potential, but I think it was done in due to some shoddy editing. Ever since I read about (the hero) Khalid in the previous book, Only Pleasure, I've been looking forward to his story...but this book was a bit disappointing--I wanted more of a story for Khalid, more of a romance, and I just didn't feel it.

This was certainly not a pleasure to read, although I did feel guilty that I spent the little time it took me to read on it. It had such potential, too, which makes it even worse. This book needed a better editor--details that were mentioned in the first part were totally different later on. Also, there was so much repitition in throughout the whole thing--how they were feeling about each other and also in the sex scenes, the same phrases were repeated ad nauseam. These are probably things I cou...more
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I've read some reviews where people were disappointed with Khalid's story. I wasn't. My biggest gripe (aside from the usual lack of editing in a Lora Leigh book!) was the ending. There was this huge climactic scene with Khalid's brother and then BAM! - the book is over. I like a little more of the happy-ever-after than that. It seemed like the entire book was focused on protecting both Marty and Khalid, and yet when everything finally came to a head...more
Good read - not her best but pretty good. It had the Lora Leigh trademarks - hot sex with macho guys and lots of action - but it felt like half a book. Perhaps it was just that the end felt rushed.
On the plus side - Khalid and Shayne are both great characters, classic hero material. I liked Khalid fighting his own protective nature to let her be herself, and adventurous, risk-taking agent. Shayne is certainly being lined up as a future hero. I liked the heroine, Marty. She was ...more

This book had a lot of the usual head scratching at inconsistencies that I have just come to expect in Leigh's books. the suspense plot line in this one seemed something more out of her elite ops books. it was kind of left field and seemed to involve every one we ever met that belonged to the club. that was rather odd in itself. we've seen before that the club is extremely connected, but the fact that it seems everyone has or is currently working with so many government agencies on such larg...more
Lora Leigh is my guilty pleasure. She has a talent for combining eroticism and suspense and pure human/Breed reactions in each series she writes. And if the adult film industry really wanted female porn, they would hire Lora to write scripts (yes, SCRIPTS) for them.
Guilty Pleasure is the combustible story of Marty Matthews and Khalid Mustafa, both of whom we've met in recent books in the Bound Hearts series. A reoccuring theme of Lora's is the young girl falls in love w/ spy/black...more

I've been intrigued with Khalid's character since his first appearance in Courtney and Ian's story, he's been reappearing ever since as a third and after reading his story, I'm glad it's not that heavy as compared with the Wright brothers'.
The sex was amazing, erotic, and hot as usual. The words are scintillating to the senses but some of them were repetitive. Marty took matters into her own hands and decided to just give it a go, and Khalid let go of his control and finally they got t...more

Pros: Loved the story. Loved Khalid and Marty. I give it a big thumbs up!
Cons: Why not 5 stars? I wanted Khalid's story and inner character to deepen earlier. It took to long. I really had given up on her taking Khalid where he needed to go. So much potential. She just put the sex first. With Lora Leigh it's all about way too much sex.
Editing. It really ripped me. $13 for the ebook and words are misspelled. Sentences jumbled. Punctuation off. But the worst was the content error...more

I'm having a bit of a difficult time rating and reviewing this book. Some parts of it were very well written while other parts of it seriously lacked. Especially the editing. There were grammar mistakes all over the place, including left out words and words used in the wrong tense. On of my biggest problems with Guilty Pleasure is the repetition and inconsistent change of description. For example, I would be willing to bet LL used the description of 'white-hot' at least 2 dozen ...more

After a overall disappointing crop of books from Lora Leigh in 2009, I approached Guilty Pleasure with some trepidation. At the risk of setting the bar too low, I am pleased to report that this book shows much better editing than the fiasco of Heat Seeker and its "Who the HECK is Jules?!?!" scene where a secondary character suddenly sported a different name. I did find some smaller errors, such as a physical feature changing or describing someone was FBI when they were CIA. But noth...more

Another sizzling hot read from Lora Leigh. This story is about Marty Matthews and Khalid el Hamid Mustafa.
She is an FBI agent assigned to follow Khalid and that makes him out of bounds.

Looked forward to this edition. Details Khalid's journey. Unfortunately, did not like the female protagonist, Marty Matthews.
Marty, alhough an FBI agent, acted more like a spoiled child. After following Khalid under FBI orders for 2 years, the surveillance is finally closed. They are finally free to pursue a relationship.
Khalid however has a history with several intelligence agencies, including Interpol, CIA and the FBI. He has been providing information against his fana...more

As usual, LL does a wonderful job telling a hot, romantic story. I enjoyed the strength yet acceptably vulnerable sides to both characters. I think Marty could be a bit stubborn and irritatingly obstinate, but she also loved Khalid so passionately and completely that she allowed herself to be immersed in his raw power and dominance in the bedroom. I agree, she needed to be able to spread her wings and be independent, but she also needed to understand this man's absolute need to be in control of ...more
Before I started this book, I read some mixed reviews saying Khalid deserved better. As I read the story, I kept waiting for whatever it was that occurred in the book, or a point where something felt really missing, to garner that comment. I never found it. I enjoyed the story. It was a bit predictable but still good. I read romance for enjoyment, not heavy thinking. The ending felt rushed and cut off. I felt that we didn't get a full resolution in the story. I think it needed another cha...more
This was my first Bound Hearts book and I think that was a mistake. There were obviously characters that showed up in this book that were featured in other books and it would have been nice to know their story. It would have also helped knowing about the "Club".
Anyway, I didn't really get swept up in the romance between Khalid and Marty. I also didn't understand why Khalid didn't just tell Marty about his brothers and what happened to his previous lover. The sex was hot...w...more

Khalid is finally ready to reluctantly accept the invitation that FBI agent Marty Mathews has issued and instead of being the third, he is ready to invite someone else to be his third although he doesn't want to share Marty's heart. Marty has grown up with two dads and one mom and is quite used to the menage lifestyle but she is disturbed by his overprotective nature while he is afraid to completely share his past and the horrors that have caused him to want to shield Marty so thoroughly. Like other reviewers, I have enjoye Khalid's character in the prevous books, but this book just left me a little lacking. For me the book just seemed to end, could have used a little more.....something. I mean the issue of their mutual love for one another and the dangerous threat threatening them was all resolved in about five pages. I assume the introdution of Shayne was Leigh's way of setting him up for the next book, but he just didn't seem to fit. *spoiler*...how the hell do that many bad g...more

A continuation of the Pleasure series. This is the story of Khalid and Marty. Marty has been on assignment for the agency that she works to investigate Khalid. So she knows all about his lifestyle sharing woman with other guys of the club that he belongs. She decides that she wants him for his own. When her assignment is over, she goes after Khalid. But what she does not know is that Khalid has been avoiding her knowing that she is the one who can shake up his life. Also, Khalid has a secret...more
Wow is it all ready bound hearts #11. I love this series. Khalid has always been a third in these series. But he finally gets his girl. Marty has always wanted Khalid, since she was fifteen. But he has avoided her. For the last two years she has had him under investigestion for the FBI. Now it is over, he has been found innocencent of terroricism. Just because of his nationality is what she believes her sorry boss is the only reason he has had to have him under suspesion. She is ready to quit. S...more
Out of the many books I have read by Lora Leigh, this was definitely my least favorite. I didn't even finish the book the first go round, but did eventually hoping it got better. The main characters had no chemistry and the plot was just too stupid to just "let my imagination go" stage. What was really disappointing was that I had really been looking forward to this book, too, as I love all of her Bound Heart series. I know many of her fans loved it, but I expected a lot better sto...more
I have waited for Khalid's story for a very long time and Ms. Leigh don't disappoint me. Khalid is all sexual, alpha male. He could be the dream man of so many women but he has only had one woman on his mind for a very long time. There was a haunting quality to Khalid that touched in such a way that I hoped he would finally take the woman that he watned so badly. His history is so sad and so wrong is so many ways. I can wait to see if his ass of a father finally gets what he deserves. I a...more
This book so lived up to it's potential and then some and it was Marty who made this so. She was hot feisty and stubbornly determined which made Khalid all the more luscious as he tried hard to support her instead of smother her. You dont need to have read any of the other books in this series to get this one so I say if you want a really good erotic suspense read this book NOW!!
Another great story with the men of the club and the women that get under their skin. This time around it is Khalid, the one who has been around a long time, who finds himself at odds with Marty, who has grown up knowing about the club as her mother and 2 dads have been in a relationship her whole life.
This book was interesting as Khalid is always described as cool and always in control. Well Marty has taken that control and thrown it out the window. She is someone who is no stran...more

3.5 stars.
Lora Leigh writes well, that there is no doubt about. However, I do not feel that she did justice to the MC in this book. I was really looking forward to Khalid's story and when I finally read it I found it to be somewhat insipid. Pity, but it won't put me off reading more of Ms Leigh's work.

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in ...more
