The story of Vita's abuse at the hands of her father, her debilitating chronic fatigue syndrome, and her resilient return to health and wholeness is one that will resonate with many. The ups and downs of her healing will make those who have similar issues live more hopeful lives.

Sometimes the angst and all the divine, spiritual messages were a bit too much, but it is a memoir and her life is just that...dealing with everything she has had to overcome. Not an easy feat for anyone.

'Riding Grace' is one of those books you will want to keep on your shelf for many years. It is a transformational, moving, heroine's journey of healing on the deepest levels. Alissa Lukara's story is raw and frank, and her writing is evocative. Her healing journey touched my heart and soul in profound ways. The lessons learned and wisdom achieved will help anyone with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or a history of sexual abuse.
