Elisa Gutierrez’s Picturescape made my heart, soul, and senses all very happy. A boy’s visit to the art museum becomes a painting by painting adventure filled with imagination and inspiration.
This book is a beautiful example for young readers on how art can tell a story all it’s own with no words at all. I found myself turning the pictures this way and that way trying to get a different perspective or even leaning in to get a closer look.
