"I met someone at the dogshow, she was holding my left arm, but everyone was acting normal so I tried to look nonchalant"
that quote has absolutely nothing to do with this book. no really nothing I just felt like putting it there. Just like I feel like putting this here:

I just sent that to my ex and it made him cry. No I wasn't sending him a message he was saying a neon trees song made him sad and he asked me what it made me think on and the script son...more

I don't feel like I can justify any rating I give this book, because while I didn't like it, I don't think it really deserves a one star rating. It just clearly wasn't for me, obviously, which is sad because I'm open to any sort of plot and any sort of characters and any sort of style of writing.
I honestly felt like an outsider reading this book. I felt excluded from being able to understand what was going on because I'm not American, and I don't know squat about New York and the New York City c...more

This book has had many important characters in it. One important character is, Byron who is a know it all and thinks fast during a bad situation. Byron also seems to get himself into bad situations. Another important character is Cam who connects every other character in the book together. Reina, a girl who's crazy for Cam Hong and is also used during a big drug deal she had no idea about. Jimmy, Jimmy is the driver who crashes the car because a deer jumps in front of it when he's on a way to a...more
I really enjoyed reading this book it was very interesting especially because of the many view points that were told in the book. the characters are very deceitful and each watch there backs mainly. 1 of the characters is a big time drug dealer and owes money to the mob boss. which means he is in big trouble. some of the other characters get in a car crash and they think one of there friends is dead so they put him in the front seat to make it look like it was only him when he crashed. the othe...more
This has been yet another "why did I read this?" expirience.
Not in an "I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked it Way" but rather, more in a "The ABCs of Kissing Boys" kind of way.
The book was an extremely fast read, and was actually pretty funny in parts.
When I heard the description of this book, I was expecting it to be much like "Party" which was another changing POV book about a party that "changed everything. Party had been a controversial-eqsue read that left me going "wow", whereas WTF was mo...more

This a great "quick-read" and hard to put down book. It follows the events of a group of people who are all connected in one way or another on the same night. The night starts out with a few boys going to a party, a girl working her part-time job, a guy trying to get out of the grasp of the mob and a New Jersey girl looking for excitement in the big city. The entire night gets all intermixed and messed-up when the 3 boys on the way to the party hit a deer and total the car they are in. This even...more

As I was going up and down the hopeless rows of books at Barns and Nobles, desperately searching for a decent book to read, I came across this and I said "WTF?". Yes, I read the title of the book and thought that this should be pretty great book. WTF is about a big misunderstanding over drugs and the whole night becomes a huge chaotic mess. It's a pretty confusing book and not a meaningful one. My favorite quote is when Jimmy thinks to himslef " It was chaos". I like this quote because it pretty...more
This book captured my attention in many ways because first of all, the title is called "Wtf" and I knew right away it will be about a teenager(s) who is dealing with a problem. I enjoy reading books about teenagers and how they deal with their complications because they always teach you life lessons that you need to be aware of otherwise you would end up in a situation and you would struggle to find a way out. "Wtf" is made up of perspectives from six people on one Friday night full of wild nigh...more

I chose to read WTF because i had no other book to read and my friend Natalie recommended this book to me. WTF is about a huge misunderstanding over the debt of a drug dealer who gets other people involved in helping him pay his debt off. This leads to many car crashes and other chaos and people dyeing everywhere. My favorite qoute is when Bryon says,"But the unreal was real." This qoute is what he is thinking about when he sees a dead deer on their crashed car. I chose this qoute because it is...more

I found this book just lying in my room but I didn't remember ever buying it nor did anybody in my family. I still don't know where it came from but I thought "With a title like wtf how could it not be great?" I couldn't have been more correct. This book was truly amazing! (Probably one of my all time favorites) This book is about a group of people with a flawless plan that will benefit them all that goes horribly wrong. I really liked how the author wrote from many different perspectives and at...more
I really loved this book it was just really exciting and thrilling. One the bad thing is that they swear alot in this book and some pretty secenic scens. It was actually really easy to read and follow aling with the characters. The main plot was that a kid was dirving without a license and they swerved and then hit a deer and killed one of the freinds. Then thy sneak away so nobody finds out and head over to a house that is having a party, and just blend in. Then the cops come and ask questions...more
Im having trouble rating this book, because I was disappointed. First off the cover was very intriguing as well as the description, the problem was the before and after was kind of annoying. It would be in the present then go to before and then go to after and then present again and it was starting to become annoying...also a lot of what happened just didn't seem all that realistic and when the book ended it sort of left me confused saying "that's it" and leaving me feeling empty handed. I also...more

When I first read the description for WTF, I thought it sounded like a fun, exciting read. You look at the cover, and see a cover that almost dares you to pick it up and in a way screams WTF. I love it. In WTF, Peter Lerangis never leaves you with down time, just throws more and more events at you. Though it was almost a bit too much thrown at you at times. As I was nearing the half way point of the book, I was just figuring out what had happened in the beginning of the book. Nonetheless, the pl...more
I didn't even get through the first 20 pages. I just was sick of the language. Ok, I know it's called WTF so maybe I should expect some language, but not on every page. And I am really bugged that this is published as a teen book. Is this book really in school libraries? Do I really have to limit the books I read to 6th grade novels and Christian literature??? To be clear, I have no problem with anyone who wants to read this book. I just don't understand why a movie is rated R for more than 2 us...more
I just finished reading wtf, an alright book. The over all plot is average, it grabed me in some action parts but then mellows things out and weakens and becomes a drag, but then there is a catch at the end. The three main characters are really strong in personality. They are completely different from eachother , but also have something that ties them together, this reminds me of the characters in Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. The overall message of this book is: It's better telling the truth sooner...more
WTF is told from the point of view of Reina, Jimmy, Byron, Waits, and a little by Cam. There was also some stuff about MC but we didn't read it from her point of view. The whole thing happens in one night and it is so crazy. I laughed out loud so many times at all of the impossible situations these teens somehow managed to get themselves into. There was the jock, the nerd, the know it all, the conscientious girl, the dealer, and the crazy party crasher. It was a big group of people that you neve...more
I was walking along the Glendale public library and this book was stacked on top of other books and I decided to check it out because the title caught my attention. This book is about teens that "overdose" and way beyond the limit but party goes all wrong. Their plan was to have an awesome party but turns into a big chaos. This book sort of reminded me of "Project X". There was a lot of unnecessary profanity in this book. It really had no meaning. I would recommend this book to someone who wants...more
I have to agree with some of the other reviews; this book was written in a very hard-to-understand fashion. The characters were boring, there were too many plots (I guess that was the point of the book but I think there were TOO many characters) and it was just all in all not what I expected. The cover and info on the back made it sound so intriguing, but it was nothing like it was made out to be. If you like book like are written in third person (?) then you may like this book, I just feel as i...more
This book took me a while to read. It is in a lot of peoples different point of views. it is very confusing at first. The more you pull yourself through it, the better it gets though. It is a story about a group of people somehow being grouped together. It has to do with drugs, money, party, cops, and getting out. It is a true life story. I did not believe it with some of the things that happen in the story. if i were you i would read wtf, it is a very good book. It teaches you about life, and h...more
this book really caught my attention! if your really into books about "bad" or "rebellious" teens dealing with drugs all those things then this book is for you! its not like most books where its most about one character, well in this book its split up into 4 or 5 different characters and they are each talking about whats happening to them and all of the different chacaters are all friends which is the cool part. this book left me surprised at the end because you dont know what to expect which is...more
What happens on a Saturday night in New York between six stupid underaged teenagers? Everything. Jimmy, Cam, Byron, Waits, Reina, and MC experience the most intense, action packed, insane night of their lives. Just one completely idiotic event after the other. It all starts out as a drug dealing scheme. When things didn't go quite according to plan, everything went haywire. They got chased down by dangerous people, picked up a rookie off the side of the road, went to a completely full club, thou...more
I really have to give props to Kenny A for introducing me into this book. The book really caught my eye from the cover. If a book's tittle is WTF, I'm going to read it. Anyways, _wtf_ is made up of perspectives from six people from a Friday night party, filled with drugs and crazy experiences. Every time I turned the page something was always surprising me. The book has some disturbing moments, that you can't get out of your head, and inappropriate funny moments that only teenagers could possibl...more
What I really liked about WTF is that it never stopped. Action right from the start. Here we have the story of six people who's Friday night has just taken a turn for the worst. It's a story of anything that could go wrong, does go wrong.
In the beginning we meet Jimmy, the driver. On their way to a house party, Jimmy and his friends, Cam and Byron, have an accident in which Cam winds up unconscious. Driving without a licence, and assuming Cameron is dead, Jimmy and Byron flee the scene.

This book almost made me give up on young adult literature completely. Overly vulgar to make teens feel like they're getting away with something bad when reading this. The story was written by someone that saw Pulp Fiction and basically rewrote it. Except not well. With that said, I actually read the whole book no matter how awful. The one thing that kept me interested was a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter (like most YA books in order to keep all the ADD kids reading). I don't suggest thi...more
The book WTF by peter Lerangis is a story of a group of teenagers that barely know each other, they embark on a journey to a party where the two passengers Byron and Cam plan to sell aspirin (as drugs) to pay off a drug dealer Cam owes money to (Waits). Unfortunately Jimmy (the driver) crashes into a moose that jumped onto the road. Jimmy and Byron make it out fine, but Cam was bleeding and under the moose. Jimmy and Byron don’t know what to do so Byron (in hope of making the money to pay off hi...more
