What a wonderful book! Aneesa and the weaver's gift is special in that it relates- through poetry- the facts of a multicultural, multiracial, and multifaceted young girl's life to her favorite hobby: weaving. Aneesa's weaving becomes a metaphor for her family relationships, her emotions, and the way she sees herself within the world.
