After I read Sindustry, I was excited to read Sindustry II. I am sorry to say, that even though there were a few good stories in it, it wasn't even close to being as good at the first book. Don't get me wrong, this book still has some good stories, but since I really enjoyed the first one so much, it just didn't measure up to it.

I liked this book. I didn't like it as much as I liked the first Sindustry book, but it was still good. My favorite story was by Fae Sutherland and Margarite Labbe. I am quickly becoming a fan of theirs, because every thing I've read by them I've really liked.

I wish I could just rate their story, but I have to rate the book in general so, I give it a solid 3.
The first one was much better. There were a couple of stories that didn't hold my interest, but otherwise it was a very good book. Love the cover!
I have to admit I had mixed feelings about reading this anthology. On one hand I'd enjoyed Sindustry Volume 1 so much I was looking forward to another set of stories about those who live and work in the seamier side of the gay lifestyle. On the other hand I was practically convinced that these stories were probably the ones which didn't 'cut the mustard' enough for the first anthology and would therefore be of lower quality than the first. I'm happy to say that although, unlike the first antholo ...more
Not quite as good as Sindustry 2 but the last story by Fae Sutherland and Margarite Labbe makes up for any shortcomings in a few of the other stories.

Still worth the price.
Some good stories, some not so much, but all in all I think that's a good selection, I mostly enjoyed it! I'd buy a third volume if there's one ;)
This second collection of sex industry-themed short stories didn't enthrall me as much as the first one did. There were still stories that really spoke to me, but overall the quality was a little bit lower. Not in terms of writing skills, that way it was actually better this time, but in terms of realistic and gripping storylines. There were a bit too many instant ILY's (which I'm ALLERGIC to) and a few too many sappy endings. You don't get the full story in a short story, and you're not suppose ...more
Rent boys, strippers, porn stars all looking for their Cinderella story is hard to get wrong especially with so many talented writers submitting stories. This edition certainly does not fail, but it does not quite live up to its predecessor either. The stories in this edition are all well written, there are no weird POV or author voices, but still many of these stories seem rushed and less fleshed out.

The first story by Connie Bailey had a lot of information crammed into it centered on a closet

I definitely enjoyed this second installment of Sindustry as much as the first, and thought it had a similar mix of stories - from those that were fantastic and moving reads, to those that made me laugh (not always intentionally, I suspect).

Yes, there were some cliched tales where I felt that the writers had gone so far away from their own life experiences that they just didn't know how to write the character's motivations convincingly, resulting in a strange fantasy version of the sex industry
some of the stories are really lacking and don't flow nicely however there are a few great reads if your willing to skim by the less than unimpressed ones that are scattered about

4.5 stars for Exposure by Marguerite Labbe & Fae Sutherland. 4 Stars for Sunshine by JL Merrow (really liking this author) & Wanting More by Cari Z. Didn't like any of the others very much at all. The first Sindustry was way better imo.

This anthology of shorts was wonderful! I really enjoy stories of strippers, sex workers, porn stars, etc finding their "happily ever after" too. Many of these stories were well written, but they were teases and I just wanted more!
4.5 Stars. There were some really great stories in this anthology, especially towards the end. I was pleased to find out that some of them have sequels, too!

I didn't find nearly as many 'very good' shorts in this one.

Most we more mediocre and less heart-felt, hence the lower rating for part II.

Read because of Exposure (#1 of the Exposure Series) by Marguerite Labbe and Fae Sutherland --- because I love Angel and Sebastian ♥

I didn't think the stories in this book were half as good as in the first one. There were only two that I felt were 4 star quality.
some good stories in here, but I think the first volume was better. Still, plenty of entertainment.
I really liked this anthology. The stories were varied, sexy and not totally predictable.
A good mix of stories. Many by new authors for me. Some 3* but most deserve a 4* rating.

2,5 stars - not as good as the first one. And here the focus was really on prostitution.
"The Meaning of Perfection" by Taylor Lochland - 4 stars
