Moira Riddick is a part of the six, a regent whose duty is to her people, and it's just a part of her as the claddagh that is seared on her arm as the sword of her office.
All right, first off, have you seen a claddagh? It's essentially a heart being held by two hands with a crown on top. It's not really a heraldic standard that says, "Mess with the kingdom, and have your arse handed to you on a platter" is it? England has the three lions, the Scottish knights of the thistl More...

Cian and Moira... You know, the first time I read this book, it was the last book in my first Nora Roberts series... and so, while I should have guessed that Cian and Moira would hook up (since the trilogy had 3 girls and 3 guys in it and 2 couples had already been formed out of those), I didn't really expect it. They are SO SO DIFFERENT. And, honestly, I didn't see many signs that either of them had feelings for the other until the very end of Book 2.
But they fall in love. And m More...

This book is true to Nora Roberts trilogy formulas, which are as always, predictable, but for some reason I love her trilogies. The story of three women, sometimes she uses men, who have to conquer some quest, almost always involving magic of some sort. Each book of the trilogy focuses on one of the three characters, and they conquer some personal quest of their own, AND fall in love, while contributing majorly to the quest of the whole group, which is inevitably completed/won in the final book

I avoided this trilogy for more than a year because I thought that they sounded terrible, and I was annoyed at Nora for jumping on the vampire bandwagon when that isn't what her books are like at all. I read it because I was bored and in need of a quality sedative to fall asleep at night. Truthfully - it was excellent. All three books were epic, and brought back to me the fantasy favorites of my youth. The pairing up of couples didn't feel as contrived as in some of her most recent magic-y tri

By far the best in the series! I just love Cian, and I just loved Moria for him. Nora ended this Trilogy with the perfect mix of nail biting suspense and justice.
All six of the circle were so well blended and the characters were so real that I actually felt like I made new friends.
And for all of you who have read this don't you just love what Nora/Goddess Morrigan did for Cian?!?! Of course you saw it coming and of course that's not what usually "happens", but More...

The third and final book in the Circle Trilogy and this was Cian (good vampire) and Moira's (scholar/queen with healing and magical abilities) story--with a lot of previous character(s) involvement.
I thought this book started a little slow. There was a lot of time spent on training, recon activity and tangling with the bad vampires. A lot of mundane activities--in the beginning. But, once things picked up the book skyrockets into action. The final battle was wonderful and this More...

When my mother passed me Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy, I was a bit wary. Morrigan's Cross was the first Nora Roberts book my mother had ever not finished, and she passed all three books to me without even cracking the cover on the last two books. While I had a hard time getting into the series at first, by the time I got to Valley of Silence, I was hooked.

I enjoy Nora Roberts, though not all of her trilogys capture my fancy. This one, however, did. The story and suspense kept building through all 3 books until the 'battle' of good vs evil at the end.
I love Cian- the dark, male lead who struggles against the evil that made him, that is a part of him he feels he can never over come. The glimpses into his past, his regret, the way he loves the young queen but is determined to deny her...great stuff. Moira's character begins as a young More...

I absolutely loved this trilogy!
Then again, I really like Vampire lore.
Cian was my favorite guy, he was the most complex, wonderfully drawn character of the bunch. He and Moira made a wonderful pairing, my heartstrings tugged at the moments where they knew they deeply loved each other, but knew they couldn't have a life together with him as a vampire who will live forever and her as queen of an ancient world. My favorite lady was Blair, she and Larkin made a very close second More...

And so I'm done with this trilogy, and I agree with every single person who said this was a good idea that needed building on. Because it is an excellent idea, and I think it's one of the more interesting plot lines that Nora Roberts has ever tackled, but everything happened way too quickly for the epic scope of it. She didn't think some of the ideas through very well.
Also, I'm kind of getting tired of the way every single male character is the same in all of these stories. Like eve More...

This is the third in The Circle Trilogy, and the two armies finally meet each other in the Valley of Silence located in Geall. The vampires have viciousness and superiority in the dark – the humans have the circle of six. Of the six, Glenna, a witch, and the wizard, Hoyt, have married; and Blair, the vampire killer and Larkin the shape-shifter have paired up. This leaves this book book to cover the growing attraction between Moira, scholar and Queen of Geall, and the vampire Cian. Can there be a

I really cant say enough about Vally of Silence or the whole circle trilogy . I have read this trilogy 4 times , its really a great Trilogy and with the way its written you feel like you are living the story . This set has everything you could want, brooding vampires, sexy vampire hunters , werewolves, sorcerers, dragons and romance .
So much goes on in these books I cant go into to much detail but if you enjoy anything to do with either magic, supernatural and paranormal you will love thi More...

This book opens where the previous book - Dance of the Gods - ended, with the entire circle hanging out in Geall. They are tasked by the Goddess Morrigan to defeat the vampire Lilith and her army. Much as they have trained themselves over the previous two books, they now have to train the people of Geall and create a fantastic fighting force out of farmers and yeoman.
And then there is the romance. This wouldn't be a Nora Roberts book if it didn't have romance. Since the "circle" More...

Woot!
Yes, I really enjoyed the Valley of Silence. It delivered in all the areas I wanted it to. The action was intense, the love was passionate. The story rocked.
Ok, down to earth, I will admit that there was a part that I was tad disappointed in. So disappointed that I thought to myself, "Geez Deanna, this is a bummer." I thought the joining of my two favorite ch More...

I caught on that each book was in the view point of a different couple! The last one ended with Cian and Moira and boy they were hot and heavy! Ha! I liked this one the best out of the trilogy.
There was more action and the storyline flew! I was a little confused why Roberts made the first 2 troops go out by themselves instead of using Larkin in his dragon form to watch over them but then the following sequence of events probably wouldn't have happened!

It was okay, but it didn't keep my interest for long. I think I needed to read the entire trilogy together. Some books I need to separate between books, this one I needed to read together I guess. Anyway, this one focuses on the vampire and the queen that time forgot. The circle of six is going to fight the big nasty. We have some sad moments when you get angry because of the trickery that the demon vamp uses to kill off villagers you have kind of gotten to know. Still, that's war. Moving

I am not going to review every Nora Roberts book that I have read in the past because she is quite prolific and it would get redundant and I honestly cannot remember all the plots. I think someone finds someone else attractive but at least one cannot admit it so there is sexual tension, then lots of sex, and then they live happily ever after? Sometimes there is some magic , a family legacy, or a mystery. Certainly not great works of literature (however still 100% better than “the grapes of wra

I can say only that this is my favorite book from the trilogy. It wasn't about Cian... Well maybe and because of him. But this one was filled with tension on every page. Preparing for the battle, everything... My favorite part is with the dragons. Nora describe them so good and beautiful that even my breath stopped while I was reading this. This trilogy is amazing, not only because Nora is great author, simply because is so different from her style and in same time she crossed magic, love and ba

My favorite of all of the Nora Roberts Trilogies and by far the best book of the three. I enjoy her depiction of vampires as a combination of both traditional lore and some new twists. I especially like that they seem to have a certain amount of free will. In addition I found the dialog both believable and with a certain amount of humor that makes it realistic. The characters were all a lot better written then I have seen many of her characters in previous books. Lastly, it had a happy endin

This book was by far my favorite in this series. It was a little predictable but I loved it. As with the last 2 books this had the disturbing love scene that the grandfather told this grandchildren. As the author had already coupled off the other 4 people in the circle it only left Moira and Cian. A most unlikely couple considering he was a vampire and Moira a human. The battle was truely exciting and everyone bad got theirs. I loved the ending and had a suspicion the gods would somehow ma

Again, no great literature here, but a light, fluffy and easy to read culmination of the battle between the circle of six and Lilith, the master vampire looking to destroy the world(s). Ah, who am I kidding? It's another romance, dealing this time with how Moira and Cian get it on.
While this was still entirely predictable (who knew who the old fella narrating the story would be? Other than, well, anyone who's ever read a book) it's still completely non-offensive and easy to read - he More...

I'm not really big on "romance" novels. I've always found them a bit on the cheesey side and am not a "mushy mushy" "lovey lovey" type of girl.
(warning mild spoiler if not read the first two books yet.)
This book however was written to suit all demographics. A hint of fantasy, a touch of darkness, a dash of action, and a lot of grab. The three books show sides of the same liniar story focusing on one set of perspectives at a time. In More...

One of the finest Trilogy of Nora Roberts have read so far...
The sorcerer, the witch, the vampire, the scholar and a shape - shifter coming from different worlds together to form a circle of 6 to destroy a century old vampire and her armies.
Beautifully and most articulately shown details of the proceeds of war and of different worlds getting affected by the Vampires.
