DEFINITELY the best hand-sized Thai dictionary out there. Why? Because it's exactly what a Non-Thai speaker is looking for. This dictionary has a section each for English-Thai-Phonetic, Phonetic-Thai-English as well as Thai-Phonetic-English, which makes it very difficult not to find a word in this book. The transcription used is not quite IPA, but very close to it, in the introduction, the pronunciation is described very well. I consider it to be the most useful dictionary ever produced for learning Thai.

Best for non thai readers. Look up words in English, Phonetic and Thai. I have not seen any others like this especially in this size book.
