This book contains some really good action sequences, as well as some scenes that allow you the choice of attempting escape, which can lead to interesting new story paths.

How I Became a Freak is an unusual book, and I couldn't always figure out why things were happening the way they were. The police don't seem to be very smart overall in the narrative, though they do try to help you if they can get past your off-putting appearance. First off, this book goes to some weird places. It starts off with you at a Hall of Mirrors. You look into the mirror for too long and are changed into a freak and you spend the rest of the story trying figure out how to change yourself back. Along the way you come into contact with clowns, creepy government agents, cowboys, Indians, cops, and mad scientists.
