The prison is in an uproar. Inmates are being hustled out of the cell blocks to the yards to prepare for evacuation. Chaos reigns as viscous ghosts rip prisoners to bloody bits.

Our warden, who is a good man and cares deeply for his prisoners (we know this because the author has told us that fact repeatedly) has just warned his boss that he will quit if they don't get him off the island immediately. Is he that frightened? No, the love of his life was gravely injured and Jenson must hasten to his

Everytime I do a 1 star review, I always cringe when I see the (Goodreads Author) behind the authors name, because then there is a chance the author will see the review, and I really dont want to offend anyone, so if the author is reading this, you should really not read any further..

Good Gawd, this was bad.. I mean.. Holy hell!

The premise is ok, I guess.. We're in the future, a new Alcatraz has been built, to house the most dangerous IT criminals. Some strange murders take place, and a parapsyc

I really enjoyed this story, very good paranormal Ghost story.
The only reason that I didn't rated 5 stars it's because of the love at first sight and the "I love you" after 24 hour…rolling my eyes.
It is 2020 and Alcatraz has been rebuilt as a prison to house criminals convicted of cyber crime. The World Police Unit control the prison and Jensen Black is the Warden. A series of murders in the prison are causing grave concern as a number of prisoners die mysterious and gruesome deaths....

The story is a paranormal mystery and the concept is interesting. We are taken into a world where there is a global focus on cyber crime and the prison is constructed of transparent material. The ghosts of
When in a book the two main characters begin to behave like animals in heat from the first pages my interest begins to wane.
Can't we know their personalities first instead of only knowing their physical appearance?
Couldn't the author create a minimum relationship between the two before they jump in bed?
I don't understand how can I get attached to them if if everything happens fast.
Another thing I missed is the atmosphere.
If I read a story about ghosts, of horrible deaths I expect a way of writ
An excellent story that really is best read in full sunlight! These aren't innocuous ghosts and they're definitely not Casper-friendly. But the story is totally engrossing, somewhat chilling and a sexy man-on-man loving all at the same time.

Review of 3rd Edition 2013

The setting for this book is 2020. Jensen Black is the Warden at the recently reopened Alcatraz, but the prison is plagued with unexplained deaths, seventeen in as many weeks. Jensen calls in parapsychologist Brian Phipps to pin down what is causing the deaths and is surprised at the sexy man he meets. Brian is called in to investigate some gruesome unexplained deaths at Alcatraz, meeting the sexy Warden is a nice surpr

Book Purchased by me from Wilde City Press.

This is a powerful book, that takes you into the unknown world of out of control spirits/ghosts. I really felt this book from the very beginning. Brian and Jensen seem to connect on a higher level than I have ever seen, much more than sex. Love does come quickly but in the circumstances its understandable.

Normally this eouldn't be the type of book I would read. I am not particularly keen on paranormal and futuristic stories.
However, this is set in 2020 and Alcatraz has been rebuild to house cyber criminals. Unfortunately some entity has begun to kill them off.
Enter Brian Phipps a parapsychologist.
The story was good, set st a good pace and pulled me in. The love story was hot too between the Warden and abrian.
All in all a nice read.
Интересная атмосфера, очень притягательные герои, но внутри целая каша несуразностей. Слишком быстрый роман, влюбленность, третий герой, который потом исчезает. Можно было из этой книги сделать конфетку, а в итоге средненько, к сожалению.
As a paranormal story goes this one had a great plot, it was full of action and danger. The author did a wonderful job in keeping the world simple but creating such atmosphere. The characters were well written and engaging. The love relationship happens quickly and is quite intense. I don’t think this is a stretch. The conditions in the story make it very conceivable. The ending of the story was dramatic and well done. I would love if the author does go ahead and makes a series out of this book ...more
Good plot idea, but too many areas where I had to suspend belief. Top of the line prison facility, way expensive facility, to house NON-violent cyber crims? Instant love? Instant sex I can understand, but love so strong in less than a day that Jenson would wish to die with his brand spanking new lover? Give me a break. However the writing is good, and this author is worth reading. I just wish she'd slow down the relationship process, develop it in a more believable time frame and give some kind ...more

Gruesome and creepy. The insta-love didn't bother me. The plot was interesting enough that I didn't even give the insta-love issue a second thought. I don't see anything wrong with insta-attraction. I read this right before Halloween so this made a great book for the time of the year. Really hit the spot with the ghosts.

It's a love at first sight story. I enjoyed it quite a bit, even though parts of it were gory and violent. I liked the epilogue which gave it a solid HEA (happily ever after).
Would have been better if it had been a longer story, as it is it seemed rather rushed. What was the deal with the hint at the end of all 3 of them being together?
Interesting world, wherein the most dangerous criminals are the white-collared ones! The violent ghosts were fairly vivid. I definitely liked the story.

I was surprised at how much a really enjoyed the ghost investigation in this book. The sex was raw and hot too.
Like all CL books the romance is impossibly fast. But the story was good. Ghosts creepy. Liked it.
Good paranormal plot, but too much erotica in the beginning to take seriously. A 3.5 read
This book was an awesome read. I couldn't put it down, and it ticked all my boxes.
