In my sphere of understanding, I can't think of a more romanticized life than that of a fly fishing guide. Admittedly, on the surface, it's quite seductive: you get paid to fish all day in the most beautiful parts of the world. Who wouldn't want that?

There is nothing like this out there--an un-self-centered memoir about the absurdities of guiding tenderhoof rich folks in the wilds of Alaska......Miles is an old friend, for the record, and just like in college, he's writing electrically.
