Their are two major themes that make up the great strength of this book.

The first is that there are certain characteristics that you would expect to find in a religion (or particular denomination) that is inspired by the one, true God. Furthermore, these characteristics are found in the Catholic Church and no other.

Benson does not attempt to set out a thorough philosophical treatise of these characteristics, but treats them more like conversational and blatant facts, which they are, that anyon
