I had mixed feelings about this book, and here are a few reasons why: The testimonies are mostly from the late 19th C. and the quaint language takes away, at times, from the gravity of the death-bed dramas, whether they be infused with hope (the saved) or entirely without it (the unsaved). Secondly, after awhile many begin to sound alike--but now and then a remarkable story is shared and is worth reading the whole book for.
