I definitely have mixed feelings about this free short story. One – it was way too short. Two – it was very straight forward. Three – thank goodness it was free. Four - the sex scene was hot!

Ok, I can truly admit this...A White Cougar Christmas falls into the category of "What Was I Thinking?!?!". I have no earthly idea why I picked out this book. Let me say that although the idea of a "shape shifter" is appealing and different for me, I need more than 19 pages to get behind the concept. This book was too short and while it was quick to get to the point...wait, what was the point! If it was just purely for the sex, then I must say that it was rather boring in that department.

Unfortunately I couldn't finish this story even though it was a short one. It was just okay but lacked a serious amount of book luster to keep me interested. It was hard to stay focused on reading this and I kept jumping from one thing to another. Playing on Facebook, annoying my puppy, dancing like a sugar high toddler while waiting for the oven to preheat. It took me nearly an hour just to read about 3 pages in a 20 page book. I really enjoyed this short, steamy story. My only complaint is that is wasn't long enough!

"A White Cougar Christmas" is very much a "Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am" paranormal romance. I went back and forth on whether to give the story 2 or 3 stars. It is very short but enjoyable so I went with 3 stars but I felt there was more potential in this story - it could have been expanded into a novella at the least. We never find out why Niki being a white cougar causes her to be despised by her people nor does Dean find out that she is a white cougar nor do we see Dean ask Niki to be his mate....more
Niki's interesting but her over-the-top aggression in the bar seemed out of place since I never got a good feeling for why she was upset. She mentioned being some kind of cougar warrior and that she needed to hide who she was but it was never mentioned again. Those are just a couple examples of niggles or plot threads that were left dangling. Even by the end I wasn't certain of their so-called mating. I enjoyed this hot little number. Niki doesn't want to be alone for Christmas, so she goes to a bar. Not exactly the best place for company, but better than being alone. Of course, she is hit on my a very naive drunk. Dean, saves the guy from becoming Niki's victim. Immediately Niki is drawn to Dean. But why? She's never felt this way before. In the end she gets way more than her wish for Christmas.

Really? I read this? It was quick (in more ways than one) and by golly are we really that far gone that it has to end with *gasp* mate??? Why can't they just have a tinsel coated tryst and move on? Shapeshifters? Wtf? I think I'm missing a part of a series. This was far to short to explain anything of what was going on there... Very fast read though. And you can't beat free book, I guess...
Very short. They meet, they have sex, he realizes she's his mate, the end. This is meant as a teaser for the full length book, I think, and in that it works as I wanted there to be more story. As a short story this kind if misses the mark.

This was a short and steamy read. I was prepared to give it 4 stars but was annoyed with the abrupt HFN ending after all his mating talk. I'm OK with short but that doesn't mean you can't have a good wrap-up last chapter. There is a note from the author at the end saying there will be more with these two characters, and I'll keep an eye out for them but I hope they'll be free too!
Very short, glad it was free. Would have been very disappointed had I actually paid for this. It was very to the point, sex was the total point of this book. Not sure that I will be reading anymore of her books, might if they are free but still not guarantees.

A White Cougar Christmas is a very short, very sexy quick read. There wasn’t enough words to really get to know the characters well but what there was did make you want to read more and wish the story was a little bit longer.
Like all of Eliza Gayle’s work, this is an enjoyable erotic read that you just don’t want to put down.

This was the first book I have read by Eliza Gayle and I have heard alot of great stuff about her stories. While I liked it I think it was too short for me to be able to tell if I will like a longer story by her. It left me wanted to know more which is good on one hand, but on the other I just wanted more from this story. This was free as well.
This is a very short read. It seemed to be one chapter out of a potentially good book. It is a complete short story about two shapeshifters. There is crude language, and steamy scenes, so I recommend it only to a mature audience. I would have enjoyed it more if it was a bit longer with more character development.
The blurb was longer the the book (okay, not really).. But this was a very short story... I WANT MORE.. (greedy)... Still it was written greatly and has potential to turn into a great book. Especially with so many questions left unanswered.. Still a really great story to get you through a short commute...
It was a quick read that left you wanting more of a story between Niki and Dean however,Niki's personality just sucked. A bitch that I hope would have softened just a little if the story was longer. I would like to find out more about these two but as it stands, one night is not enough.

Super fast read that felt like the story was just starting when it was over. Stricter editing (not a horrific amount of errors, but given the length there should've been less) & taking the tale further would've earned a higher rating. At least it was steamy!
This was a short story consisting of 49 pages. It was okay but too short to really get into it. The chacters were developed to a certain extent but their story was more of a one night stand then that of being in love with each other.
Can't really say too much. It's a short story about a Girl who wants to blow off steam meets a guy and the rest is history. It has definitely peaked my interest in her Alpha trilogy. I will be taking a look into those books.

Giving this a 2 is pushing it. There is very little story. It's more like two people meet, immediately have sex and are happy mates for life. It's extremely short.

Just because a book is free there should be a story. This more like a free sample. It was like a intro, hook up and a kind of end.
