It was good, it was well-written and thought-out, definitely one of the best Regency romances I've read, but...I'm just not a big fan of Regency romances. The romance is often too slow, and overly polite because of the view of the ton. But anyone who likes Regencies will LOVE this one. The drama is good, and from the time that Meryon told Elena to become his mistress and she (the daughter of a duke) declined, I couldn't put it down. But that was about 200 pages in of the 400, More...

Pretty good historical fiction/romance book. Thought it was going to be smut based on cover but really wasnt. More historical fiction than anything else.
