Accidentally Demonic (Accidentally Friends #4)
The devilish new novel from the national bestselling author of The Accidental Human
When mild-mannered Casey Schwartz wakes up in jail, she has no memory of how she got there. But after her sister, Wanda, bails her out, Casey has more to deal with than a foggy memory-like abrupt mood swings and fireballs shooting from her fingertips. But things really head south when a va...more

05/14/12: I just think that I generally enjoy Dakota Cassidy's work. I've made that assumption and I'm sticking to it.
I really like this novel in the Accidental Friends series. Perhaps it's because the character of Casey is very relatable to me as the reader. Or maybe it's because Cassidy brought back one of her characters that I was intrigued by (anyone remember Clayton--Gregori's stand-up friend in Accidentally Dead? Well, say hi to his return.). This novel also has another attribute that the...more

Plesently Demonic!
Accidentally Demonic is the fourth book in the Accidental friends series by the hilarious Dakota Cassity. When I first started this series a little while back I thought of it as refreshing, witty and enteraining. I was scared that each book wouldn't live up to the first because of it's predictable outcomes, girl turns into supernatural being by accident, has trouble accepting her faith, and then falls in love with guy, but honeslty it is really super enteraining to read, and a...more

What I LOVED: I adore that Casey is brave enough (stupid enough-same thing sometimes) to stand up to even the likes of Nina. Hildegard was a great foe, she was snarky, b*tchy, and willing to do anything to win. It took someone like Casey to stand up to her. This book fulfilled on the fun meter which is why I love this whole series. Really what I loved most is the "love" that is in the book! Not only between the Casey and Clay but also between all the couples/families/friends!

I was at Barnes and Nobles one day and the cover of this book really caught my eye so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, I sat down with it 5 times, read some, then eventually never picked it back up. It was an ok book, I just found other books after this that were MUCH MORE interesting. I hate to give this book 2 stars considering I didn't finish it. I mean, the girl gets her blood mixed with demons blood and she gets all of it's powers! Then a hot sexy vampire comes along who's "involve...more
After reading the fourth book of the Accidental Friends by Dakota Cassidy, all I can think about was "Thank God I'm done with the series."
Don't get me wrong, I like her books. They're funny and witty, but I noticed a couple of things in her writing that I find annoying and irritating.
first: The characters talk too darn much. They ramble soo much I wanted to reach from the pages and give them a good whack in the head to make them stop. And make them listen to the person that was conversing with t...more

This is the 4th book in the series and the heroine is one Casey Schwartz, half sister to Wanda Schwartz, the heroine of book 3 "Accidentally Human". This book had everything you could ask for. It had witty dialogue and snarky humor. It had a heroine that you could identify with and a hero that grew on you. It had the heroines from the previous books Wanda, Marty and Nina. Nina is probably one of my favorite fictional characters because she just says it like it is. She quite often uses profane la...more
Yes, another one of the Accidental Friends books. They're just too awesome! I laugh so much when I read these; they really stick a smile on your face.
The Setting -- still the greater New York area, though this one seems to stay in a few apartments for the most part.
The Characters -- get a little jolt of fresh blood. There's a new character by the name of Casey featured in this story, and I have to say - I'm no longer sure if Nina is my favorite... Casey and Nina are awesome in the way they run u...more

Although I started off this series in love with Dakota Cassidy, by the time I got to Book 3 I was definitely falling out of love with it. The story lines are slim at best, there's way too much dialogue and not enough characterization. And if I may say it, Nina is starting to work my nerves. The meaningless curse words don't add to the story l, instead I want to smack the person who thinks various form of the F-word make a good character. Needless to say I had planned on reading the fifth in this...more

After my review of The Accidental Human (Accidental Series #3) I was somewhat afraid of this book but I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Finally a new concept, Dakota Cassidy finally moved away from the idea that everyone was either a vampire or a werewolf.

The fourth installment of the "Accidentally" series is by far the best of the series. The plot is filled with twists, turns, and delightful new characters that you simply fall in love with. This book was down-right hilarious, not only in the entertaining arguments between the girls and the phases that Casey goes through during her "transformation" but with the ridiculous plot that has you thinking "you've got to be kidding!".

Accidentally Demonic is the forth book in Dakota Cassidy’s Accidental series. This time around we follow a new character, Casey who happens to be Wanda’s (Book 3: Accidental Human) little sister. Casey has a crap job working as a “handler” for two brat socialite kids (think Paris Hilton), doing all sorts of damage control has left Casey with little time of her own and has made her relationship with Wanda extremely strained. Out with the terrible two-some one night, Casey ends up being the one wh...more
This series is PNR with a light & funny tone. It has major appearances from Marty, Nina, & Wanda, the crazy trio of the first three books, but features Wanda's sister, Casey. Casey is at a club when someone spills a drink on her that turns out not to be a drink at all, but demon blood. She wakes up in jail later with absolutely no memory of how she got there, but soon learns that the "drink" spilled on her has turned her into a demon! The rest of the book is a series of misadventures with...more
Like I've said before this series keeps getting better. I loved the characters like before though there are still some things about this series that I don't like. Near the begining of this book when Casey's sister & friends take Casey home and they're about to tell her about them being werewolves/vampire/werevamps, it really frustrated me how long it took for the to spit it out which I guess its okay since it helps you relate to Casey. Another thing that kinda annoys me is how everyone (Wand...more
This book just never held my interest. I thought it would be something light and fun to read but turned into a chore. I couldn't get past the first 10 pages. The main character finds herself in jail for attacking an undercover police officer but can't remember any of it happening. Her sister & some friends show up at the jail to bail her out; when they take her home she gets into an argument with one of the friends and ends up shooting fire from her finger tips and levetating. She doesn't un...more

Though the writing in this installment of the Accidental series is just as strong, and the plot is just as good and unique, I just couldn't get behind this couple. I couldn't connect with the heroine who was too close to doormat for my taste. I'm not a huge fan of overbearingly strong heroines, but I would have kicked the hero's ass six ways to Sunday my the middle of the book. In this one Wanda's sister Casey accidentally becomes a demon when Clay drops demon blood on her. At first he's slightl...more
Okay, so at this point, we'd run out of established characters.
Wanda's kind-of-estranged sister Casey is brought into the picture and is in prison when we first meet her. Some guy spilled something on her and next thing she knew she was attacking an off-duty officer and able to shoot fireballs.
I wasn't sure if they would continue with the vampire and werewolf thing or bring in something else, but I wasn't really expecting demons. Some of the things that were introduced were interesting in the a...more

This author was recommended to me by a friend who knows I enjoy the humor in Janet Evanovich's books. I was told that Dakota Cassidy's were just as funny.
Well, it isn't. Unless you count constant puns about sex and "bomb-diggity" references to masculine attractiveness. Don't get me wrong; I have nothing against either sex or hot men. But the same joke/pun repeated to the point of tear-your-hair-out frustration isn't amusing, or attractive. It's Stephenie Meyer and the "beuatiful" Edward Cullen a...more

I really wanted to like this book mainly because it seemed unusual to me. At first though, I didn't. It started out with a bunch of crazy women trash talking each other and I mean TRASH TALKING. I was sort of surprised really. But, I kept with it and pretty soon I found myself really enjoying it and caught up in the story line. It finished rather predictably. There was no real gasp moment here but it was a fun, enjoyable read and you know what? I'm going to be buying more of the "Accidentally" s...more
Casey Schwartz wakes up in jail after a wild night she has no memory of. Casey is forced to call her sister Wanda to bail her out of jail. Casey isn't the type to end up in jail, she works all the time, and is too passive to get herself into trouble it should be the twins she babysits for her boss that get in trouble. Casey can't remember what happened the prior night and is super moody which isn't normal for her.

So far this book starts off slower than the others. I was kind of annoyed with the main character but slowly warmed up to her. Just like the rest in the series the main girl is accidentally turned into some paranormal creature and has a tough time accepting it and ends up in a bunch of trouble. Even thou they are so similar it can get a bit old but I enjoy watching each characters personality grow and get more in depth.

I picked this book up on a whim because I needed a new read for the train ride since I was in town and needed to get home.
I walked into the sci-fi bookstore in town and first time ever I stopped by the romance section.
I've never read romance before and figured if I'm going to start it might as well be sci-fi. All of the Accidental Friends books were there but I didn't know they were a series since they all were about different people. So I picked up the last one in the series, but as far as I c...more

Fun fluff. It reminded me of Mary Janice Davidson in a lot of ways. Irreverent, snappy dialogue, characters not taking themselves too seriously, bad situations solved in the most random of ways.
That's all the up. The downsides of all those things--it's hard to get invested in the story because it is all on the surface. The dialogue is so snappy and referential and constant that it's difficult to find the story at times. As frustrated as the main character was getting with not being told things,...more

I adore this series it might be my favorite Paranormal Romance Adult series. If you do not know who Dakota Cassidy look her up she is AWESOME. Anyways lets get on to my review.
Accidentally Demonic was as good as I presumed it was going to be. Casey is a girl who's living like a slave, a slave that would put other people before her self. One day Casey Schwartz's life consists of babysitting two rich brats twenty-four/seven and making sure they don't get into trouble. The next, she's in jail for assaulting an off-duty officer at a club with no memory of it. Oops doesn't begin to cover it. Come to found out, she's now a demon; actually, half a demon; due to a freak accident with the hunky vampire Clayton Gunnersson. Apparently, he spilled some demon blood on Casey which bonded with her somehow and that makes her half a demon now.

This book is number four in the Accidental Friends Series by Dakota Cassidy, and even thought I love Dakota's writing style and her free and frequent use of the F-word, this book didn't hold its own for me like the others. It was however still a very cute book in so many ways because I did feel happy after reading, but I just don't know if the cute was enough. The series in itself is farfetched in that you actually have 3 now 4 people so close to each other have these "Accidents" as they are cal...more
I absolutely love Dakota Cassidy’s writing and for me she is an automatic buy whenever she has a new book out. Her Accidental friends series is so hilarious, snarky, fun, romantic and sweet, what is not to love. The new installment in the series is definitely NOT a disappointment.

This series always provides good laughs, a yummy guy, a twisted-from-the-start mated-for-eternity love story and some sort of fight scene. But you always know there'll be a HEA. Sometimes a girl just wants a little light, humorous, love story where everyone gets their HEA. That's this series, in a nutshell, for me.

Dakota Cassidy lives for a good laugh in life and in her writing. In fact, she almost loves a good giggle as much as she loves hair products and that’s saying something.
