I've now read four of the Sophie Green series in a row and I'm in the middle of another. They are truly on a par with Janet Evanovich and to a Brit like myself, even a Northerner, they are the perfect blend of humour and tension, comedy and crisis. Sophie is a heroine of our times, built to last - a walking disaster area in so many ways but with the power to affect people and change lives. I feel for Luke (his life is going to be filled with problems but oh so exciting) and just hope that Ms Joh More...

I really wanted to love this book, primarily because I adore Kate Johnson's dry humor and sharp, snarky voice. And while the dialogue is still razor-sharp and the chemistry between hero and heroine quite steamy, the construction problems within the narrative got too big to be patched over by the charm.

Sophie Green, the kind of spunky gal most of us would love to call friend, gets dispatched to New York for inscrutable reasons. Yes, ostensibly it's to schmooze a bad mob guy, but I still have no i More...

I started this series thinking it wouldn't be much. Just light, fluffy, formulaic stories. I have been surprised that even now, three books in, it's holding up and has been a much more interesting and entertaining series than I expected. Sophie is a funny, feisty, flawed spy, her relationship with Luke is up and down, but never boring (though I'm getting to the "sort it out, already!" point). I've just downloaded #4, and am disappointed to see that it's the last so far, despite coming out in 200 More...

More WHY with no plausible answer (or no answer at all, for that matter) in this third Sophie Green book. I still love her sense of humour and her utter craziness is somewhat endearing, but the characters are losing their personality and become puppets moving from one place to the next without reason. I'll think about reading number four.

Not exactly award winning writing, but a fun read all the same. I wish the Sophie/Luke situation would move along; it seems like it ends up at the same place at the end of every book. Still looking forward to reading the next in the series.

The Sophie Green Mysteries are very entertaining. As an American reading these books it did require me to email friends in the UK for some explanations of slang but it was well worth it.

Sophie is similar to Stephanie Plum but not blowing her car up all the time and she knows how to use her firearm.. Go Sop!!!!

I have recommended this series to a few other friends that have read all the Stephanie Plum Series books.

This might have been my favorite Sophie book so far. Although the ending just about killed me.

If you liked the first two books, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

Fun, fast-paced read with quirky humour. Although the Sophie-Luke drama is getting on my nerves ... that man has the pacience of a saint LOL

After reading my first Sophie novel I just couldnt wait to devour the rest. OF course now I am impatiently waiting for the next installment of my fun, clumsy, and always amusing Sophie but I know its going to be worth the wait. Following her antics in the Big Apple was such a fun way to get to know her even better and introduce more interesting characters. No pressure Ms. Johnson, but HURRY UP!!!

this book was hilarious and the mystery was very interesting in contrast to the second and fourth books in the series. i really enjoyed this book, though i dont know that it was as good as the first. still, if you are a sophie green fan or want to read a mystery that also involves romance and humor, this is your book!
