This has been my favorite so far of Mari Carr's books. A definite 5+ and a keeper. Since I am a retired teacher, I loved that the heroine is a high school teacher who is trying to help at risk students.
This has to be one of the worst books I've struggled through. I won't summarize the plot again; the product description above does a decent enough job of that. So why did this book suck?

I like that this series has a bit of suspense in the storyline. I loved Kelly and Mac. Their fighting was hilarious. Their chemistry was contagious! Onto the next book in the series!

More 3.5 stars.

I enjoyed this but I felt the relationship started too fast to be believable. It was all just a bit contradictory for me. But the action and plot is steamy!

Writing a book was number one on Mari Carr’s bucket list and on her thirty-fourth birthday, she set out to see that goal achieved. Five years later, her computer is jammed full of stories — novels, novellas, short stories and dead-ends and six of her books have been published.

High school librarian by day and mother of two busy teenagers, Mari Carr found time for writing by squeezing it into the ho...more
