The first two books of the series was entirely great. I am hoping that this one will be to, but i'm tired of seeing things get in the way of Ever and Damon

What a waste of time. I spent the whole book waiting for something to happen and I don't feel like anything ever did. I'm sorry, I just cannot believe Ever and Damen's connection and neither could I believe the connection with Jude. Roman doesn't even seem sinister to me anymore. It's like everything is coalescing into one big joke. Ever and Damen set off to find an antidote to the antidote but instead, discover that Damen has not always been the only one for Ever. She finds herself torn b...more

I have very mixed thoughts about this book. It was hard to put down once you have started it, but once it is finished it doesn't leave you fully satisfied.
I wish I could teleport myself into Shadowland and try and shake some sense into Ever. Every time she tries to help she just ends up making things ten times worse. She should have learned from her mistakes and left things well enugh alone. Another charictor that really gets on my nerves in Haven. She is incredibly self-centered. Sh...more

The first time I read the book I was so angry with Ever, because of her stupid behavior that I didn't pay enough attention to the other characters and what was going on. The second time I went in prepared and found a very wise Damen who has some interesting things to say and my favorite part of the book is where Damen takes Ever to the museum. Actual rating 3,5 stars.

So, I really should have written my review when I read this book . You notice I give it 4 stars, but that’s because it’s what I rated it on goodreads. But, I made the mistake of reading some other reviews before I wrote my own. And now, I’ve forgotten what I liked about it. All I can see are the issues that others pointed out. So, I’m tempted to go back and give it 3 stars. I did like it. The plot was interesting and suspenseful at times. The introduction of Jude and why he was there co...more
First off lets start with some positives.
I really enjoy this series! It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s entertaining. I loved the first two books! This time around.... didn’t love it so much.
As I mentioned before, it took me no time at all to read. The plot was intriguing, but it just wasn’t enough to satisfy me this time around. I loved the introduction of the “shadowland” but it just lacked substance in the plot overall.

The main problem in this book is Ever and Damen can't touch each other.
The setting contributes because thats where everything is and happenes. I don't think this could take place in a different place and time period because in present day we have so many new and high tec things that cant be in the past.
Ever is 16, immortal, she has long blonde hair, she is also psychic and she is a protagonist. Damen is tall and immortal he is the perfect guy smart, talented, and he is psychic too, ...more

Holy crap, there are more of these! How did the first one possibly make enough money to spawn not only one sequel, but several?
(Possibly due to people like me reading them. I'm sorry, world!)
It appears that about every six months I will stumble across the next "Immortals" book in the library, and I will check it out. Why I do this, I am not entirely sure, as the first one, Evermore, was literally the worst piece of published fiction I have ever read. If I'm being honest, I mu...more

Shadowland is an enriching, suspenful book about burning passion to keep a deep and real romance alive despite the evils of the world and the people that want to destroy them and their relatinship. Ever and Damen have fought many evils, including two immortals who want them gone. They have fought through many centuries and are determined to fight anything, or anyone, out to destroy them, including the evil immortals Jude and Roman, who both know Ever's one weakness; destroying Damen from the ins...more
The Immortals Series continues with its third instalment ‘Shadowland’. I strongly advise that if you’re a newcomer to this series to begin with the first instalment ‘Evermore’ to ensure that you fully appreciate and understand the complex plot line and characters. I’d read some good reviews for ‘Shadowland’ but also some not-so-good ones. Therefore I was a bit apprehensive about reading this instalment but seen as though I loved the first two I decided to give it ago.

I read the whole series over the smmer.. fun to read but I felt sort of disappointed with its conclusion.

I liked the first two books, but this one was BOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGG :D
I just didnt really get it. It confused me I thought if Jude came in it would be better.

So I basically started this book and read until I finished it. I can't say i'm exactly disappointed in Shadowland, it's more i'm disappointed with the series so far. Shadowland introduced more aspects to the story that make me intrigued as to how it will play out. However, the characters are just as frustrating as they have been from the beginning, and the only one I really can enjoy is Miles. Ever is honestly bordering on stupid, Damon's focus seems to be on his self-loathing and uncompromising...more

Wonderful book! When I first started this book, I stopped after the first few chapters and went on to read something else. However, when I began to read this one again, I wondered what could have ever made me stop reading it! Damen and Ever are encountered with so many new problems but of course nothing can stop a true couple in love, which is exactly what is tested in this book. With a new hottie introduced, Jude, that apparently has a past romance with Ever, Damen begins to doubt his actions i...more
Ever’s destiny and question of true love comes to play in Shadowland. We get an insight as to the beyond after Immortals die. Ever’s feelings are called into play when a new guy in town named Jude, thwarts the love between Ever and Damen as a secret of his own is revealed. Ever’s friend Haven is relentlessly jealous of Ever and this leads into a domino chain that affects everyone. I am so mad at Ever, can she stop making stupid mistakes. Ever is a very stubborn individual- this characteristic of...more

Review from my blog: http://nelleehorne.blogspot.com/
This was a little slow compared to the others but, like always, the Immortals series always surprises me and is still one of my favorites. I can see in this third installment that things are definitely going to take a turn and I can't wait to see what plays out.
Cons: It was slow getting to the climax, which was practically the last chapter. The resolution was about two pages long, out of a 330 page book. I know there h...more

At first when start with the Immortals series I loved it! Evermore and Blue Moon were just totally great so the books set off to a great start. I saw that as soon as I started reading Shadowland but as I read on the more I disliked.
Okay so I really wanted to know what's going to happen in the whole Ever and Damen's forbidden love thing. I mean the plot it great, what's not to like? But it's just mainly because of how the storyline didn't seem to go anywhere. Everything was pretty muc...more

Well if you read the first to books of The Immortals series, then you have to keep on reading! This series by Alyson Noel is made for the people out there looking for a book of half romance/half fantasy. These books keep you on the edge and wanting to read more. I'm not comparing this book to the Twilight Saga by any means, but if you weren't a fan of those books than you won't be a fan of these. Too bad so sad.

All of these alpha males are swarming as Ever is trying to discover who's good and evil. Damen is still acting distant (especially now that one touch between them might lead to his imminent death). Roman is still acting like a chauvanistic pig. And now there is a new boy, Jude, who is nothing but trouble from the get-go, yet Ever is now employed at his book/occult store as the fortune teller, a post previously held by the traitorous Ava. But with all of these questions about Roman's intentions, ...more
Alyson Noël‘s third installment of her The Immortals series, Shadowland, left me feeling somewhat unsatisfied. The series as a whole, I feel, has vast potential but the bulk of the narrative often comes off as contrived, convenient and predictable.
That’s not say there isn’t some entertainment here, or some value. But as with many young adult novels and series, the core of the story relies heavily on a teenage love affair that is supernatural in nature and therefore, ridden with complic...more

"Alyson Noel is a wonderful writer! Her stories are pure fantasy but is so beautifully written and provokes the reader to think back to links in the previous books. No loose ends her her story and each piece fit perfectly!
