I've loved the Ghost Hunters since the first season the show began. I always hoped that I could meet them and finally I did. My close friend and I got to meet Jason and Grant at Barnes and Nobles in Warwick, RI. They were doing a book signing and they're honestly some of the nicest people I've ever met.
I'm sure they hear over and over again how much people love their show but they were still grateful and almost taken aback when we told them. They were even interested in the fact that we became...more

I really enjoyed getting more of a look into these earlier investigations by TAPS. I liked how each chapter was followed by instructions on their technique which is not always as well explained in the tv shows. I even enjoyed the stories where the homes turned out to not be haunted because it shows how thorougly Jason and Grant are in debunking and how easily it is to be misguided. In comparison to their first book this was much more interesting and better written. It felt like they really put a...more
I'm an unabashed fan of Ghost Hunters, especially because it isn't as histrionic as Ghost Aventures or Paranormal State, so I was looking forward to these stories as they covered their initial cases as paranormal investigators before they got their own show.
But, really, I had to tape open my eyes to stop them from rolling as I read on. Almost every case had brilliant evidence including aliens caught on film peeking through people's windows (!), yet why have we never seen this on the show? Surely...more

This is another one that I'm probably going to get laughed at for. But I love Ghost Hunters - I will admit that fact freely and openly. Plus, I'm totally fascinated by the idea of the paranormal, so I really like learning about all things supernatural. This book had some pretty crazy stories. Some were ones that I could almost buy; some had me saying, "yeah right"; and some just plain blew me away. The one that I absolutely couldn't buy was the story where Jason and Grant determine that the fami...more
I might as well go ahead and admit it—I'm a huge fan of Ghost Hunters and also the spin-off Ghost Hunters International. Both shows are entertaining and I adore the personalities of the ghost hunters themselves. However, within the same breath, I'm also a skeptic. I don't believe everything I see or hear on the shows.

I absolutely loved this book! First of all, I am already a fan of the show Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi. I was always impressed with their ability to be skeptical and scientific on their ghost hunts. This makes anything that they find that much more exciting because you know they have taken the time to debunk it first. If you are a fan of their show or interested in ghost hunting, I highly recommend this book. It is not only chock-full of essential ghost hunting information, but also includes plenty...more
I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Anyone that is a fan of Ghost Hunter on SyFy should read this book. It is such an easy and captivating read. And throughout the book, Jason and Grant give aspiring ghost hunters tips and tricks on how to conduct their own investigations and not taint the evidence and how to look at an investigation without having thoughts about it that may sway what they see and hear one way or another.

I just finished this second book by the amazing team from televisions Ghost Hunters, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.
This book really back tracks and takes us to a time well before their Scifi channel television series. To the beginning of when they started investigating the paranormal.
Just a thoroughly enjoyable, engrossing, informative read. I really wish that we could have been with them on some of these cases, as they are just amazing.

I just got done reading the second book by Jason and Grant of "Ghost Hunters." I can't say if I like this one better than the first book Ghost Hunting or not, but I love the fact that we get a look back before the TV show to see how they did things. It is great to get a glimpse into how they ran before all the fine tuning. You can definitely tell where they tweeked their way of doing things, but they have always stood by their drive to disprove hauntings leading to getting only the best evidence...more
I'm always a sucker for a good ghost story, especially true ones. I really enjoyed learning about what got the TAPS creators interested in ghost hunting and reading about some of their more intense, demonic encounters. Some of their recent tv show cases can be a little tepid, so it was great to read about some old haunts with more spook in the steps. The language is very basic, some more colorful description of the cases could further create the atmosphere of ghost hunting, but the language is a...more
I read their other book, Ghost Hunting: True Stories of Unexplained Phenomena from The Atlantic Paranormal Society, and it was cool, because I've watched their show for so long. So when I had a B&N giftcard, I couldn't resist buying this too. And it didn't disappoint. I love reading about this stuff (and sometimes watching it too!), and to read about cases from their early days was great!
Sort of a "Before They Were Stars," Grant and Jason give us a look at some of the cases they investigated before they were on the air. What is most interesting about these stories is how "outrageous" they are when it comes to the paranormal. More than the usual evps and apparitions, the reader gets doppelgangers (which has never been creepier), aliens, (they believe in those, too?!) and even an exorcism (Super Soaker filled with holy water FTW!)! We even get to read Grant's long held secret pers...more
If you're a fan of the show Ghost Hunters, then you'll need to pick this up. Over all it was a good read.
There are a lot of good things about this book that were improvements over the last book. All of the cases are cases not seen on Ghost Hunters. That's a big plus. The cases were new to us, and they were a very interesting read. Jay and Grant both cases where they had evidence of ghosts, and cases they debunked. After all, not every house they come to is haunted. The cases ranged from some tha...more

At first I found it hard to get into this book. I watch every show and have everyone on DVD. The more i read the better the book got. I really liked the way after each story they would have a Ghost Hunters Manual which would explain the different tactics they used. They really bring the investigations down to earth so everyone can understand them. You cant help but feel like you are a part of the investigation along with Jay and Grant. Michael Jan Friedman Co-Wrote this book with Jason Hawes, an...more
I am such a huge fan of the series and I think Grant & Jason are the best on TV. While the book was written with a collaborator, their voices rang clearly throughout the stories. This is a great behind-the-scenes look at the series. I enjoyed learning about the early days of the series and how they developed their ghost hunting chops. Even if you aren't a super fan, this is still an interesting and practical look at how to explore the paranormal from two of the best in the business.
This book was about the teams earlier cases not televised. What was good, was interspersed, explanations of their various equipment used, and methods of investigation. A real course-study if you are interested in Ghost Hunting for yourself or wish to create a team.
I find the authors very generous in their advice. They want to work with a network to learn more on the Paranormal subject of Ghosts.
I truly recommend this book. The photographs are interesting too.

This book took me for. ev. er. to finish, mainly because when I started it I really wasn't in the mood for non-fiction. However, I kept at it for a few weeks (while occasionally putting it down for some other stuff) and was really glad I did.
I'm a huge fan of Ghost Hunters on SyFy, and I loved this book because you really got some insight into Jason and Grant as well as some of their older cases. I really loved that. Some of the cases were kind of boring, but some of them made my eyes about pop...more

I could not have been more disappointed in book, especially as T.A.P.S. as the subject matter. this book is a total waste of time, filled with inaccuracies and quips so short you don't even get a chance to get into the story. "We never get any information about the places we investigate because we don't want to be predespositioned to any 1 idea." What?? You start every episode with the homeowner giving you information. Oh, and the ending...that is what this book is all about. A shameless, tactle...more
After a semester reading nothing but articles related to library science, this book was a fun palate-cleanser; I love allegedly true ghost stories, and I thoroughly enjoy the TV show Ghost Hunters (because inside I'm really a twelve-year-old boy). This book combines some of Jason and Grant's early cases and tips for conducting your own investigations, should you be so inclined.
If you're into paranormal research and paranormal studies then this book is a fantastic example of paranormal research. Jason and Grant have been ghost hunting for a long time, their entire friendship is founded on their love and skepticism of the paranormal. In Seeking Spirits: The Lost Cases of The Atlantic Paranormal Society, you can find some of their more serious cases that never aired on Sci-Fi favorite Ghost Hunters. Jason and Grant take you through their style of ghost hunting and share...more
I loved this book! The guys from Ghost Hunters did a terrific job of recanting their work throughout the years, that us fans were not able to watch on the show. They dive deeper in to the demonic side of paranormal investigating, which you do not see in the t.v. show. I would recommend this book to anyone that is a fan of the show.
This one is a much better read. Instead of Grant's Take awkwardly placed at the end of each story, there is a ghost hunter's manual that further explains different topics presented in each story. It's also nice to read more from Grant who seemed not as involved in the last book. A much improved text from my favorite ghost hunters.
