Really an interesting collection of the struggles, poverty and corruption that is such a part of our history. This is more a reference guide than an informational history of NY Lower East Side, but well researched and interesting.

I found the format very enticing, the details not as thorough as other books.

Basically instead of a full bio on all the people, it is more of a list of people by address in the lower east side.

I really enjoyed the design and format of it and was amazed at where everyone was.
