I found this book at a garage sale of my friend's neighborhood. It's one of my favorites to find cheap books at garage sales in America. I like reading children books in English, and I bought it only for 25 cents. I really think I did a good shopping.

The book was good for reading. The main character is a low teenager and an orphan. Her life before meeting her current foster mother was really miserable, and she escaped from her foster houses a lot. Only her sweet memory was to meet her twin siste

I was really disappointed with this book. There was a total disconnect between the time setting of the story and the story itself. Most of the actions of the characters were more in keeping with mid-20th century ways, but this was placed in current times. Let me explain:
1. No adult in right mind these days is going to come upon a teen traveling alone and not report it to child protective services. The bus driver, for goodness sake, would have called it in. The cab driver, would never have let he

Runaway Twin
by: Peg Kehret

"You feel bad for me? You're the kid nobody wants," is one of the quotes in Peg Kehret's "Runaway Twin". This is what someone tells Sunny, the main character. This was a great book! There are many great moments and lessons in this book, and Sunny learns alot when running off without telling Rita, after finding a bag with lots of money.

Sunny lost the location of her twin sister, her best friend, at just age 3. Now she's on a mission to find her long-lost sister, with the

My goodness! I loved this book so much. My friend had recommended it to me and I am so glad she did. I wasn't bored for a second. I almost cried and in the middle of class, I gasped real loud because it was so shocking and exciting. Just as my friend had recommended it for me, I would do the same and definatly recommend this book to almost anyone. It was adenturous, sad, scary, and just truly amazing! I know you would love it if you give it a chance!

This was an easy-read adventure appropriate for both boys and girls. The protagonist is a 13-year-oldish girl who travels accross the US on her own looking for her twin sister. It's full of adventure, and has a good ending that's unexpected but beleiveable.

I opened this book expecting the typical twins reunite story and was so happily surprised! It is a great story about love, family, and finding home. I know that sounds corny, but this story is anything but corny. There's an adventure, a mystery, and a great mother-daughter relationship. After reading this story I'm even more certain that family members are those that make you feel loved and that doesn't always go hand in hand with people who are related to you.

I didn't expect to like this book. I bought it at Half-Price Books a while back for a dollar because I liked the cover, and I had no regrets. It seemed like one of those books that I would read and end up dragging out for days even though they're small. That was not the case with this book. I just read this book in one sitting when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I am not ashamed. This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and everything else wonderful in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed this book. I enjoy the story line. The author wrote the story to make it seem like the main character's dreams come true. This story is about Sunny Skyland. Her mom and grandma were killed in a car accident over 10 years ago. She went to live with her great aunt Cora, who passes Sunny to her son. Her son doesn't want Sunny so she starts living in foster homes. Her best foster home is with Rita who cares for her and really enjoys Sunny's company. Sunny was separated from her twin ...more

This book is about a girl named Sunny who is separated from her sister Starr. This story tells the adventure of what Sunny goes through to try to find Starr. This book makes me think of my life in China. Since I was adopted, I don't really know who my biological sister nor mother and father are. This book gives me hope that I will soon find my biological family too.

I liked this book because a lot of dramatic things happen throughout the book, including deaths, natural disasters, and encouraging family struggles. The author keeps the constant theme to never give up, even when you think there is no where else to go. This book relates to life today because many families have tragic losses and the kids end up separated in foster homes, and even adopted into different foster families.
The book Runaway Twin is a fast paced book. Sunny, the main character and her

I found this book at my library and thought it looked good. I started reading it and couldn't put it done. It's about this girl who's a foster kid who was separated from her twin sister when she was three. One day she ran away to find her twin. Her goal is to go to the house she last saw her sister. She traveled around the country walking, taking busses, and riding in taxis. One day the bus stopped for a lunch brake and while she was getting lunch there was a dog outside. Do you like books that mix with your emotions? Well, if you do this book is the book for you. It all starts when two twins, Sunny and Starr, get split apart. When their parents died, Sunny went to foster homes while, Starr went to live with a neighbor. Sunny remembered her sister and cared for her even though she barely knew her twin. The only thing Sunny had to remember her sister by was a picture. Starr, on the other hand, never knew she had a twin sister. Seems interesting and tough love, rig ...more
