WOW! Jo Leigh delivers more page-turning suspense in quick-read doses with Release, the third book in her 4-part miniseries, In Too Deep....

*SEMI SPOILER* This series is about a small team of former Delta Force warriors, a doctor, and an accountant who all know something about a covert CIA operation. The people running that show want them dead to silence them. They're all "off the grid" until they have enough evidence to go public.

In the first book, Closer..., you really got a true sense of the...more

Obviously this is book three or four of a series of these. Unfortunately, this really should not be a stand alone book. Perhaps had they been bundled as an omnibus and I read them together I'd have liked it more. As it was, bleh.

Maybe if I'd gotten to know either of the characters before they were forced into this situation, I'd have liked either one. Even if it was only a little bit it would have helped. This was certainly not the Blaze format I was looking for when I picked up this book. I'll...more

This book was the second in the thrilling series In Too Deep. “Release” was the story of ex- Delta Force, Seth Turner and Dr. Harper Douglas. Two of the characters who have had to live under the radar just like their friends. And in this series, their story was revealed.

Seth Turner, the hero of this series was first introduced in the prequel and first book “Relentless”. He was one of the Delta Force Warriors under the command of Nate Pratchett (brother of Christie) who were compelled to hide whi...more

This is not your typical Blaze title, that's for sure. And definitely not a title you want to read out of sequence from the rest of the series - lots of characters running around, complicated plotlines involving secret government agencies with sinister sounding names like Omicron, experiental lethal nerve gas for sale on the black market, the heroic group trying to stop all of this. Add to this mix a wounded Delta Forces soldier, having recently lost his left hand to a gunshot injury, and the ic...more

I didn't realize this book relied so much on being part of a series. I've known of other Harlequins that, while part of a series, could be read alone. This is not one of those books. I wanted to read the book because of the story-line (amputated hero), but was disappointed when the focus on the H/h would cut to other characters and story-lines. I found myself merely skimming those sections to get back to the H/h. Perhaps if I read the previous books I would have been more invested in the auxilia...more
