Recommends it for: children who love horses
I loved this book growing up. It was so wonderful! Great for any children.

This was an interesting story since the characters weren't actually magical and just basically based around one type of animal (I hadn't read this one when I was little). Basically the story is short, sweet and easy to read.

I would have to say this is one of the most beautifully illustrated books done by Robin James. I just love the pictures in here for the details, which complements the details of the story on how our thought in our looks affects how others see us and what fun we may or may n
I remember loving the Serendipity books as a kid. Reading this story to my kids was a completely new experience. It was just meh. Didn't really care for it.

Recommends it for: Any child.
A great way to teach kids about vanity, humility, and loving someone for who they are on the inside, instead of what they look like on the outside.

A kind of friendly children's book retelling of the classic Narcissus story. Not the best writing or illustrations, but good.
my daughter's book.
Check out my blog, Books from Bleh to Basically Amazing for my thoughts and memories of the Serendipity series!
I eagerly await the inevitable crossover with Latawnya the Naughty Horse.
This was one of my favorite stories growing up. A well done story and fantastic illustrations.

One of the more realistic of the Serendipity books, it's still quite treacly. The artwork, however, is fab.
