There are some awesome and inventive things you can create and do for Halloween contained within this book. After reading a wide variety of books about Halloween decorating and crafts over the years, I was pleased to discover a book with more edge than the tired and typical ones suggesting floating a hand-shaped piece of ice in a punch bowl. I'd love to build some of pumpkin sculptures, the zombie/undead grave, the gallows, tiki torch pumpkins, etc. My only regret is that it was too short.
I found this book highly enjoyable. Many of the ideas are creative and festive, and some are gory and disgusting. I want to make many of these projects next Hallowe'en, but even if I don't, I am still glad to have read this book. Nardone's humorous prose is refreshing and enjoyable, and although his ideas for pranks, decorations, and activities are inventive, this book is worth reading for his sense of humor alone. Who knew DIY could be so amusing?
Humorous, full of neat ideas (some of which I might actually try) and pretty well priced. I bought the book on Amazon and ended up hitting the author's site while I waited for it to arrive. There was so much fun stuff there I despaired that the shiny new book I had already paid for was going to be a rehash, but it turned out to be mostly new material.

If you can imagine a Martha Stewart crossed with a Stephen King, you would have a pretty good idea of who Tom Nardone is. Extreme Halloween is a walk on the wild side. Anything, and then some, that you would want to do for Halloween is in this book. Lavishly illustrated, this book is pure entertainment and worth reading, even if all you do for Halloween is pass out candy.
There's just something about assembling a dead body out of meat atop my picnic table that just appeals to me. So, when my kids can handle things that are more frightening and less tasteful, I'll certainly revisit this book. There's nothing quite like a jack-o-lantern barfing up a load of guacamole to make ones Halloween party complete.
This was okay...every idea was fairly elaborate and I was hoping for stuff my kids could participate in. Plus, I don't want to spend the whole month of October using my power tools.
Yay! Made me more excited for Halloween to get here, if that is possible...
A must read if you are throwing a Halloween Party
