If you have read "The God Delusion" by Dawkins, you might find yourself hearing the same arguments in places, albeit a lot less scathing and a lot more downright silly. I have to assume that the author is in my age group, because there are a lot of '80s cartoon references throughout the book that smack of a childhood in that decade (G.I. Joe, Voltron). Contains some gems in the form of exquisite tongue-in-cheek jokes but really drags on towards the end. The penchant for lists is useful at first but starts to feel forced and the first person aspect of many of the jokes is tired. Each section ends with "and therefore x is false" I think damages the cause of any legitimate critical thinking and is too quotable to point to the arrogance of secular liberalism to be used as the organizing mechanic.

Get it if you want to share it with a few people.

Very very funny dismantling of every religion I've ever heard of. Great for Hitchens fans who forget how to laugh.
Dann
Very entertaining and filled with solid satire along with some salient points.

This is a very entertaining but silly (in a nice sort of way) book.

A wonderful wonderful book. Offensive, hysterical, and a teensy bit racist. Everything a book should be. I laughed out loud so many times. Can't wait to read it again.
Stefanie
Very pithy and snarky; some laugh out loud moments. Dawkins meets gawker/defamer/wonkette writing.
Delicious!
