The homes of Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent presented here are occasionally terrifyingly ornate but constantly stunning in the value, rarity and selection of objects displayed. It's a lot to take in.

This book is worth reading in two ways. First, human curiosity, the opportunity to enter someone's home and see how they lived and what they surrounded themselves with. Second, while most of the design doesn't resonate much with me, there are two settings that were incredible - the small dacha a

Art Deco? Their living spaces are more along the lines of overindulged and overdone, if you ask me! I don't think that I've ever seen such a large collection of stuff - albeit stuff worth a lot of money - so it's no wonder that they needed multiple houses and apartments. I sure couldn't live in that cluttered space, so seeing this type of overwrought decoration gives me an exact idea of how I don't want my future house to look.
