Deserves three and a half stars. It was OK. Better than some of Morrell's and weaker than others.

David Morrell is an awesome writer. So far, I'm thinking Assumed Identity isn't his best work.

It was decent, but not great by any stretch of the imagination. There is a limit to how far you can stretch a book of this sort. They need to be at least semi-believable and this book went over the line. Where Mallory excels is creating the personalities.

I learned there is no limit to an author's imagination and any character can endure what the author wants.
Intense characters, action galore, deeply entrenched intrigue.
Left me exhausted from the suspense...
