Recoiling from the heartbreaks of a mistaken marriage and a failed romance, thirty year old Nurse Ellen Maxwell has fled to the refuge of a small upstate town.

Life can change in an instant. Ed is kidnapped at gunpoint-Ellen abducted from her apartment-both arriving as 'guests' on the rural estate of a major mob boss. John Gustino has suffered a gunshot wound, and will be treated in his home.

After successful surgery in the middle of the night the two 'guests', intensely disliking each other, begin to interact with the many members of the complex Gustino household.

Ellen comes under the admiring eye of the man who runs Gustino's gambling and loan operations, and becomes increasingly desperate to ward off his determined advances.

Ed finds himself in a home dominated by Gustino's strict mother and lesbian sister, the latter in control of her brother's call girl rings. The house is full of beautiful and willing servants, but Ed soon learns that in this home submission is required, and brutal punishment is a way of life. Along with misbehaved servants, problem hookers and women mired in hopeless debt are brought to the estate to be whipped and caned for the entertainment of weekend houseguests before being used sexually.
