I'm still very much enjoying this series but this was probably more filler than the last 2 books. Hopefully that means the next book will be fantastic because we have the extra stuff out of the way.

We got to follow Kenta's mom around the LOVE HOTEL in this volume. As she folds sheets, drags an old school girl uniform out of the trash, and befriends a teenage run-away prostitute.

We also followed Anju to school where she found out where Boogy, her lost doll, had gone off to. OH! And there is a fan

In Volume 3, Usui-kun helps Karin study for her makeup exams, and then they both pick up a second job over the summer break. Kenta's mom, Fumio-san, is working as a maid at the love hotel down the street, where Ren frequents with his ladies. After Fumio runs into a high school girl, Harumi, who works at the love hotel, she uncovers the secret of the hotel and becomes determined to help Harumi return home to her family. Karin, meanwhile, is increasingly stressed out over Ren's determination to bi ...more

Kenta knows that Karin is a vampire! He's pledged to keep her secret...not that he really had a choice. It decreases some of the awkwardness between them. Unfortunately, the awkwardness quickly comes back when people start speculating that they're dating.

But let's forget about Kenta and Karin. They're the least interesting part of this volume. There are two big subplots in volume 3. Both are really strange - continuing with a theme.

Subplot one: Kenta's mother is a maid at a Love Hotel (hourly ra

well.. i've read this book last week and i really do like this book.. i find it interseting because of the story line. Although the title still puzzles me it's a book i would recomend to people who are interested in vampires and anime...in this book i foun it funny that the main character Karin gets some sort blood spike and the blood that she has comes out of her teeth and when she covers her mouth it looks like she had a bloody nose..hehehe poor thing. I still can't believe that her brother wa ...more

Kenta is keeping Karins secret, he is helping her in more ways than one.
Kentas mom is working at a seedy motel and saves girls from an underage prostitution ring.
The creepiest of all.... Anju (karins lil sis) is a doll collector and we find out the history of her favorite doll. That story is what sent this manga above and beyond.
This series just keeps getting better and better. <3

Me: Well, at least the Love Hotel isn't available for him anymore.

I was slightly confused about some events, but I think I got the overall picture. I am so glad Miharu went home!! Although poor Ren, now he needs to find a new Love Hotel, Haha... :P
I liked the little side story with Anju and Boogie-kun, although it really freaked me out!!
I hope Karin can get to Kenta's mom before Ren does!!

I like this manga but I think the story is moving really slowly, like the author doesn't know where it's going. I wish it would pick it up a little and have a little action. I feel like this one was just a lot of wondering if she should or shouldn't give blood and so on. It's still good though.

This series continues to delight me. I am completely entertained and have a really great time while reading this book. I do feel bad for Karin though. Her family seems a bit harsh. I enjoy the relationship she has with Kenta and can't wait to see what happens there. I recommend reading this series.
Anna
Karins sister is Sweet. She's is such a cutie. I love her Hobby. Maybe I'll start doll collecting. ^_^ I can't wait to see what happens when she comes into her power. Karins brother has taken a notice to Kentas mother and wants to try her out. Will Karin be able to stop him?
Dani
Okay, so I know why 16+ should read this book. This book wasn't as funny but still good. I like this series because they are easy to read, there isn't an overwhelming amount of speech bubbles on one page and it's organized and easy to know where next to read.

Recommends it for: shojo fans

Karen is a reverse vampire who can't control her urges to bite and give blood to people, making miserable humans happy and making her the family white sheep. Not much happens in this volume besides story continuance and dithering on what to do romantically.
Sara
I thought that this was a good book because it is fuuny that Karin acts more worried that Kenta is going to get hurt by her blood-related problem that she worries nothing about herself! I would reccomend reading this book.
Nicole West
Ren can be such a punk. I don't think I could tolerate a brother who causes that much trouble to good people. We finally meet Boogie's spirit. Something tells me I'll never be able to look at a doll in the same way.
Setsanata
Growing up isn't easy, especially when a girl is a vampire with a serious crush on her prey.

I really like this series, but can't remember much about this volume since I read it so long ago.
Stacey
The romantic dithering is starting to get annoying but I did enjoy getting to know more about Fumio and her troubles. I was hoping for more, but isn't that always the way?
Allanna
Karin's still having issues being a "reverse vampire." More jobs, more trouble with her big brother.

A fun chapter with her little sister Anju ... helps explain Boogie-kun.
Luis
In book 3 karin older brother is threanting the kenta's mother.

I recomand this book to the same people as book 1and2

You can get this book at the libary.

Another awesome volume of this series. Karin-chan is adorable. And I love how her dad is so stereotypically worried when Karin goes out to meet Kenta. :)
Jacqueline
The main character is so cute. Somehow, she reminds me of how I am, I can be a bit clumsy at times and get myself in embarrassing situations.
William
A little creepy, even for a vampire book. (There are worse vampires than those who drink blood, and the major sub-plot dealt with that issue.)
Rayna Edwards
...i think she needs so suck on someone before she dies of too much blood... still waiting on the juicy parts.
Brittney Bower
i think she should just use his mom as one of her donors at night so that his mom is always in high spirits.
