After decades of waiting to get my hands on this book I found that it was not the Epic Civil War novel I had been building it up to be. "Gone With the Wind" it is not. The story dwells on a localized incident in Jacksonville, Florida surrounding a fictional family of northerners whose plantation become the target of southern prejudices midway through the war.
