This book caps an incredible series set throughout centuries at the Grotte Cachée in France, though I hope especially after reading this entry that there are more to come in the series. Throughout the books (House of Dark Delights, Bound in Moonlight, Whispers of the Flesh, and In the Garden of Sin), I have been drawn to some of the novellas contained within each book more so than others, for various reasons - usually having to do with the way a particular romance theme strikes me (and let me sa...more

I am honored that I am the first person to give a review to this book at Goodreads. I give 5 stars for the story itself, but 4 stars for the book as an erotica.
This fourth book is more of the plot rather than the sex actions themselves, making me think that this is more of an Epic Romance, but I have no problem with that (though some readers might). The lack of intimate scenes could be a problem to some readers, and I have to agree it put me off a little, but as I read through, my fr...more

The sex scenes are still pretty hot compared to her first book, but I have a real problem with how she depicts the non-follet (human) BDSM practitioners. Seriously? Can we just stop with the "All male doms are dicks and all female doms are evil, and all subs have daddy issues" tropes? Can we? The scenes are still pretty hot if you can divorce yourself from that.
Also, for immortal beings, their memories appear to be pretty short for things like PEOPLE WHO HAVE TRIED TO...more

The vampires in this novel are unlike any others you've read. I guarantee it.
They aren't only insatiable in the department of sexual delights, they are tortured souls that we connect with as they try not to be repulsed by their own appetites.
It was a satisfying relief to read that Elic and Lili were finally free to love one another, after the last three books detailed their plight and pulled me on their side.
I cheered, out loud.
This is a sexy, lusty romp of a read.

The Hidden Grotte series is wonderful, however, the 4th book wasn't my favorite. The reason I gave it 3 stars was due to the second story in the book. I was not a fan of Galiana and Turek, and I do hope there will be a 5th book- maybe with Darius and Inigo finding lovers.
I truly hope that this series continues! I a looking forward to where Lili & Elics love will go after the way that this book ended.
hot, unique
