Gotta love a man in uniform (sigh). - Ok, I could barely make it outta Prince Joe. But am soooo glad I did. Prince Joe had me so hung up in my refusal to embrace that things between the 2 main characters went from zero to 100 in like 2 days. However, the rest of the stories TOTALLY RESTORED MY FAITH IN THIS AUTHOR. I purchased the series based on the effusively glowing praise heeped on it by other readers. These are the first four books in a longer series featuring SEAL Team Ten, Alpha Squad. It turns out, I love these guys. They're modern heroes, or at least archetypes thereof (since it's fiction), and people like this really exist, serving our country. Almost all of my family and friends have or do serve the public (military, police, firemen, and extending a bit, teachers and public health service- yes, there's such a thing).
