I have some mixed feelings about this study. While it has A LOT of great stuff in it, I also think some of it falls short or misses the mark of what I read in the Bible. I also wonder how parents of children with medical concerns (like those on the autism spectrum) would view some of the advice within its pages. But overall, he does present some information that is important for parents to consider and some ideas that would work well within many families. I think this is one of those cases where ...more
I think this is my favorite parenting book on how to become a really good parent! Kevin is a parent of 5 children and has some great, practicle advice on how to love and disapline in a firm but loving manner. Lots of examples and life situations. Great for preschool through to adult. Now just need to remember to more consistently follow his advice!
I have read peices of the book as I have need them. I really, really like it! Now that I think about it...thought maybe I would like to go back & reread peices. I just really enjoy Kevin Leman's advice and's reality.
Kevin speaks my language, I understand and receive the messages God want to teach me because is more often than not biblical and sound in his wisdom...
