Zane is about to give up by the time his truck breaks down in Arizona. All he has in the world is the truck, less than fifty bucks, and more bruises than any one young man should have to bear. That's when he meets bluff giant Butch, who takes Zane in, helping him get his life back together. Problem is, Butch already has a lover, an artist named Randy. Or at least Zane thin ...more

4.5 HEARTS!!

This was a great threesome story! I’m rather picky when it comes to threesome stories, but this book covered all of my favourite elements.

Zane’s truck breaks down on the side of the road after escaping his boyfriend who had just drugged, raped and beat him. Butch pulls over and offers Zane a place to stay while they fix his truck. At Butch’s place Zane meets Randy, Butch’s live-in lover, but Zane has a lot to work through before he can feel attraction, let alone anything deeper for

Zane has been terribly abused by his boyfriend and on the run when his car breaks down. He gets taken home by Butch, who spotted the car and wants to help Zane.

Butch is living with Randy, an eccentric artist. The two of them take Zane in and try to make Zane trust them..

This reminded me a lot of Wolf Run (without the shifters that is), but whereas Wolf Run really worked for me, in this the characters felt juvenile instead of adorable.

I have a feeling the author tried to depict the cuteness of th

Zane, poor Zane his parents kicked him out and he moves in with his boyfriend who turns put to be an abusive, dangerous, thieving bad guy.
And because things actually can get worse his truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere.
But at least a little bit of luck is with him and Butch finds him and takes him home .
Butch and Randy are a couple, although they have a someone open relationship ( heard about, not seen), Butch is a construction worker, with the body to go with it and Randy is an arti

It’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to pass up a Sean Michael book these days. Whenever I see one I tend to snap it up because I love his mastery of sexual tension and the eroticism of his sex scenes. So when I saw that this one was also a m/m/m menage, how could I possibly resist? Well I’m sorry to say that this was not really one of Sean’s best books. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good as I’ve come to expect from his books in the past.

We begin with meeting Zane. He’s been beaten up p

Hadn't had an SM fix in a while and this was one of my last Fictionwise purchases (RIP FW) and it was a mostly angst-free, sexy menage.

Naive, young Zane gets kicked out of his house and hooks up with an abuser and he's on the run when his truck gives up. No worries, sexy good Samaritan, Butch, rescues and takes him home to the warehouse he and his lover, scattered artist, Randy share.

While Zane heals from his injuries, both Butch and Randy make no bones about the fact that they'

In poker – as far as I understand the game, and believe me, that isn’t very far – three of a kind beats a pair of the same cards. What this story shows is that it can be the same for people. The three men in this novella may not seem much alike in the beginning, but two of them, Randy and Butch, are already a pair when Zane joins them. As they get to know each other better, they find out how well they all fit together and how, in the end, they share a way of looking at life, are similar in how t ...more

Roadside rescue. I’m such a sucker for that kind of opening that I even braved a ménage for it. And it worked for me!

The truth is, ménages, open relationships – that’s the kind of thing I tend to hate because it makes me feel unsafe. Not that there is anything wrong with people living it; I’d just rather not have it in my escapist fiction. So I appreciate it all the more when there’s a book that can make me enjoy the idea.

In this sort of story the triad really works. Possibly because each guy ha

Short and sweet, this was a book about Zane who went through hell with his ex and was found on the side of the road by Butch. Butch is such a good soul, he would give his shirt off his back to anyone. Randy, oh man, he was so flighty, not so bright but so loveable. Zane was scared and couldn’t believe there as any good left in the world. When these three are together it is wonderful, it feels like family and when

This is a moving, sweet and lovingly hot story. It is a quick read, but gives us a good amount of detail about Zane, and how much he needs the support that he gains from Butch and Randy. We don't really get much of their backgrounds, but they do their best for this very hurt young man. It is a unusual set up, with the men living in a warehouse which serves as Randy's studio too, and the relaxed vibe is just what Zane nee

Sweet story. I enjoyed the interactions between the three characters, especially their reactions to each other. The author does a good job of showing, not telling.

This is a very classic Sean Michael story about a young, abused man who finds a home to heal and love with an established couple. The characters and prose are reminiscent of other works by the author which will likely be a hit with fans. The story is heavy on dialogue making this a fast read with interesting men and more focus on the connection and emotion than sex. For an easy afternoon read, this will satisfy your romance needs.

Zane is running from an abusive lover, uncertain if his fighting b

Kicked out by his parents and brutally beaten by his lover, Zane is at the end of his ropes when his truck breaks down. Butch sees a truck broken down on the side of the road and stops to help. Quickly seeing the trunk is not the only thing in dire shape, Butch takes home Zane to helping him get his life back together. As Zane begins to heal on the out, Randy and Butch try to heal him on the inside. The only thing hold them back is Zane as he struggles to understand real love shouldn’t hurt.

Nothing special, but I enjoyed it

Warning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS.

Rating: 6/10

PROS:
- Zane is in pitiful condition at the start of the story, but he’s not pitiful himself. He’s hurt and unhappy, but he doesn’t wallow in his misery. I immediately wanted someone to wrap him up in something soft and love on him.
- The characters are all three likeable enough, but Randy especially is kooky. His quirkiness amused me.
- I’ve read a lot of stories by this author, and

I just finished readin three of a kind and it is a story that breaks your heart but also makes you glad for hope and second chances. It is about three men that come together and find love between the three of them even though it was unexpected. Butch and Randy are already in a relationship and they are happy and do not feel as if they are lacking anything in their relationship then Zane comes along broken, beaten, and very few possessions to his name and walks into their lives and fits it perfec ...more

Three stars!
This book started out really good but around halfway it took a turn that I wasn’t a fan of. I really like Bitch and randy and how they easily took care of Zane in their own way. They both just included Zane and showed him he was worthy of their friendship, then affection, and eventually love. Zane was wonderfully described with how skittish he was. You could feel his fear he wasn’t worthy or that he didn’t deserve someone. His past was glossed over a bit

Zane's truck is a broken as he is. He just wants to get to anywhere he will be safe. Butch finds him and takes him home. To a home he already has a partner in, Randy. can they make it work?

I liked this book. It was a NICE book, for the most part, and I hate using the word NICE about a book, I really do! But I can't find a better one for this one.

I liked that Zane and Butch have *something* straight a

So I’ve read most of this authors body of work and I’ve enjoyed most all of it. This one being no different. If you are looking for a quick story about young love and a guy that comes and saves the day for everyone then this is it. Not a whole lot of deep thinking or deep meaning to it. Just a connection, a love and a a savior.

Zane, young (very) runs away from an abusive relationship after coming out to his parents, being kicked out of parents house, and moving in with said guy. He then escapes

Zane is a young man, still under-age to drink, and has escaped from a short but damaging 'relationship'. He is beaten up, with no money, and a run-down truck, but he keeps going. He has to find something to live for. What finds him, or rather, WHO finds him is Butch. Butch is currently working two jobs, but still finds the time to help someone stuck at the side of the road. Zane goes home with Butch and is introduced to Butch's partner, Randy.

The part that I enjoyed about this book is that all t

I enjoyed this, a m/m/m romance, with three very different men, with differing personalities but a growing love and care for one another.
Zane is on the run from a violent boyfriend at the point his truck breaks down on a deserted road and Butch discovers him and takes him home.
Butch lives with his partner Randy and together they care for Zane as he heals, but Zane has been damaged by his past relationships with both family and his boyfriend and it takes all of Butch's diplomacy and patience and

This was a sweet read. I loved the characters. Sweet, adorable, kinky, Randy who has multiple blond moments, tough as nails Butch who loves Randy and takes care of his man to the sweet, gullible Zane, who told his parents, got kicked out and hooked up with the wrong man manages to find his way into Butch and Randy's hearts, making a place for himself with his brusque "I don' take charity" attitude. Zane is at the end of his everything and he's only slightly better off than his truck. Butch comes to rescue. Zane decides he can stay and hang out with Butch and his partner Randy while he recovers. He tries not to get in the way but it seems that getting in their way seems very much what they want. When they realize how much Zane really suffered they are so good and patience with him. They seem really happy together.

Butch and Randy are in a relationship. Zane's truck breaks down and Butch takes him home. Zane has been abused and he stays while healing.
The three guys come together and find that they can work and be together. Kind of low on the drama and high on the story. I loved all the interactions between them.
Book Utopia
I've finally decided that the author's incredibly sparse voice/style just isn't for me. The guys are likable enough in this, but without being able to get into the prose, I can't care enough about any of them to commit to the menage.
Virginia
This was a minimum angst m/m/m novella with that Sean Michael smut :) . It had the opportunity to delve into some heavier subjects but overall the novella was kept more on the lighter side than taking on those issues. Good for when you're looking for something light and smutty.

Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs.
