Jason Summerfield is a lead singer of a local metal band and an all-around, love 'em and leave 'em type of guy. He's also pyrokinetic. Strong emotions can literally start a fire with him, so he's always struggled to hold emotions back, unwilling to let his "gift" harm anyone. So far, one-night stands have been the answer.

Then along comes Julian Kristados, a man who turns J

I'm not exactly sure what I just read...uh, listened to. The plot lost me after awhile because I don't think there was much of one to begin with. For an audiobook that lasted only 90 minutes, it seemed like most of it was spent with me listening to the male narrator deliver sex scenes in a pervy growl with some oddly humorous inflections here and there. The way he said "And his fingers slid into me" really tested my LOL-control at the office. :P

Anyway, points for originality with the firestarter

This was an alright, short story about a guy, Jason, who's a firestarter. He's a singer in a band and one night he starts getting the sensation that someone's watching him but he never sees anyone.

There isn't much depth to this book so we don't know much about the MCs other than what's on the surface. There's vague references to a past relationship of Jason's and we even meet the ex but I'm still not quite sure why they broke up. Then there's Julian, who's a vampire and basically been stalking J

This is a novella that mix paranormal with slutty behavior! Jason's character at first appears as a mourning hero, with some dark secret hidden inside, who lost his forever love Chris... this man probably will spend the rest of the book in a widow's weeds... only to end the first day in bed with Kevin, a friend's friend he meets that night. All right, the reader thinks, Kevin is Jason's hero, the man who will help him to forget his pain and face a new life happily ever after... also since they s ...more

After breaking up with his last boyfriend, Jason isn’t really interested in relationships. As the lead singer for a metal band, finding hot men eager for one-night stands isn’t really a problem, either. Good thing too, considering Jason’s “special ability.” He’s a pyrokinetic and keeping things light makes it easy for Jason to keep his emotions in check, thereby ensuring his “gift” harms no one. But lately something
Well, this is a hard one… usually I would give a book like this three stars. A short story, nothing new, nothing offensive. It was fine. The first half depressed me, however ((view spoiler)). I mean… the repetition! I was so choked with all those "I", "he" and "his" that I almost stopped reading. As it is, I will give the book 2.5 stars.

What do online gaming, Spongebob, cooking, writing, and an unnatural addiction to Mountain Dew all have in common?

Not a damn thing, which is what makes Mychael Black an interesting bird indeed.

Born in north Alabama, Mychael now resides in north Mississippi. Having run the gamut of labels in regard to gender and sexuality, Mychael now shuns society’s views on normality and embraces a
