A former Marine is no match for the spunky Sam Sinclair. Bryce Stone has returned to his hometown of North Pole, Alaska and he's not very happy about it. The Town Where It's Christmas All Year Long does not appeal to the self-admitted scrooge. When Sam Sinclaire moves to North Pole, Alaska from Baltimore, she has high hopes about her new job as head chef for the biggest hotel in town. Upon arriving, however, she finds out the job has been given to the boss’ nephew, causing her to take a job managing a gift shop and living in her RV.

Bryce Strong grew up in North Pole where it is Christmas year-round. Having just returned from another tour of duty in Afghanistan as a Marine, he takes over the gift shop his parents left him when they di...more

Sam Sinclair is HOT!! Steaming mad that is. She sold her townhouse, and her possessions, bought an RV and drove to Alaska with a letter of a promise of a job, only to arrive to find out the boss let his nephew have the job. She is mad. Lucky for her she is quickly able to find a job managing a Christmas gift shop, and quickly is in love with her job! Always a great lover and fan of Christmas, working in a shop that is all about Christmas seems to be a place where Sam fits right in. Plus Olive, t...more

Bryce is an ex marine who has come back home to a small town in Alaska known as North Pole. Because of it's name, Christmas is the theme 24/7, 365 days of the year and there is no escape from reindeer to candy canes and due to not being able to escape the Christmas cheer, Bryce is not a fan. This makes it even harder when he has been left the family knick-knack shop that his parents owned and whilst growing up, his much loved aunt Olive kept going but is now moving to Florida. It is now Bryce's...more

I know I read mostly read what my family and friends like to call smut, but I read this book for a book club I help with (check out shameless page promotion: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/5...) and at first I wasn't sure that I was going to like it. When the first thing you are told is that it talks about God, you kind of take a step back and think, umm, ok do I really want to read this? Lol. My reasoning behind this is every Christian based book I have read, they have basically "shoved" r...more

Don't wait until next Christmas to pick up a copy of this sweet book--it's a holiday treat that should be enjoyed any time of the year! This book is like the charm bracelet from the movie The Santa Clause 2. The interesting date "Santa" finds himself with his first time around has a Christmas charm bracelet, which she say she wears "year round to keep the spirit alive." Well, this book is set in North Pole, Alaska, about which is said, "Where the Spirit of Christmas Lives Year Round." It's a won...more

Samantha Sinclair is a 27 yr-old baby sister to a week's worth of brothers, none of which believe that she can make it on her own. With the weight of this knowledge on her shoulders, Sam attempts to prove to her loving yet overbearing family that she knows what she is doing. With an RV, a hard-won degree in culinary arts, and a promise of employment, Sam treks across the nation from Baltimore all the way to North Pole, Alaska to pursue her new, independent life running her own kitchen in a local...more

A charming romance set in a warm and festive small town makes this story unforgettable. Add in a cast of characters that are so uniquely loveable and magic happens. Firm in their Christian beliefs, the main characters rely on their faith to carry them through their rocky moments in life. When they make it through those moments, through the kindness of others, they rein praise. The romance that begins between the two of them is beautiful, sweet and right out of a warm your heart holiday movie. Wi...more

I enjoyed Lorre Lough’s picturesque descriptions of small town life and the humorous encounters that take place where Christmas lives every day. All of Lough’s charming, sometimes stubborn, and yet completely lovable characters are strong Christians. This faith helps them steer their way through life’s ups and downs. Lough places Sam and Bryce, our courting couple, in many realistic situations—some will have you laughing out loud and others are so intense and poignant you will be wiping tears fr...more

The setting of this novel was incredibly clever. North Pole Alaska specializes in all things Christmas (go figure), and it was Samantha's dream place to live. When her guaranteed job as a chef falls through, she begins working for war veteran Bryce at his Christmas themed gift shop. While I loved Sam's relationship with Bryce's aunt Olive, it felt like some of Olive's story line was an unneccessary distraction to the main plot. I also thought some of the issues Bryce and Sam have to deal with ar...more

This was such a sweet book. The Characters were very normal in the way that they got to know each other. It must be what they call dating and getting to know each other, a talent that most people now a days have lost. No one in this book was texting, sext-ing or generally not paying attention to each other. This was refreshing in the sense that most H/H hop in the bed wagon by page 2 LOL. there were sweet and touching moments that had me laughing and chuckling, and also parts that made me tear u...more

Loree truly NEVER disappoints!!! This book transports you to a real Winter Wonderland!

Bryce Stone is a tough ex-marine who comes home to North Pole where it is Christmas all year long. He comes home to start his own furniture shop when his Aunt Olive decides to retire and leaves the family's Christmas shop to him. Being a "Scrooge," he is not happy with the gift. Olive told him to put a want ad in the paper about a manager for the store.

Meanwhile Samantha Sinclair from Maryland answers an ad abo...more

I would have given this cute love story four stars, except for the fact that someone dies. There should be a warning for those types of things. And it should NOT happen in a book from this series. I expected a fun, light read and got a devastating read by the end. Sad. I mean, there is still a happy ending, but in my opinion it was too marred by sadness to be really happy. As a result of reading this book I'd like to visit North Pole, Alaska, however.

This was a really fun, light read. I enjoyed spending my holidays with Loree's latest. It was a little heavy on the exclamation points (says the girl who got a lecture from her agent about that, lol), but I couldn't put it down. Is there anything better than a stuffy ex-Marine colliding with a fun-loving gal from Baltimore in the Arctic?? (Answer: nope.)

I loved this heartwarming story! The characters in the book were so relatable and likable. I really enjoyed getting to "know" Bryce and Sam and the trials that they faced separately and together.
The only problem that I have found with this series is that I want to visit the locations! ;)

This was such a fun quick read. I liked the sutle hints of Bryce and Samantha falling in love. I even cried at the end (but I am a sentimental person sometimes)!

I also enjoyed this because I have been to North Pole, Alaska and could picture the descriptions of the town and surrounding areas.

Another Christian fiction book shared with my Mom. This was a very quick read for me. The story was easy to get into and was sweet. There was a drawn out section that I felt was a little unnecessary, but I did enjoy reading the book. I am really enjoying this series!

I don't normally read books like this and should probably keep it that way. I only read it b/c I have a strange obsession with Alaska.
Kristyn
Cute story minus the stupid epilogue. And I just have to say, I thought he was building her a ladder! What's wrong with him?
Susan
I liked this book, however, I was not expecting the turn it took for the last 1/3 of the story. The romantic comedy turned a bit more serious. So, beware if you are just looking for a light read. The setting and heroine, Sam, were delightful.
Shannon Clark
This was a good heartwarming story. I did cry toward the end, but I won't tell you because that would be a spoiler!
Teresa Snyder
Really liked this book. Although it had a sad section, the happy made up for the sad. Quick easy read.
