Large comprehensive and well presented book on architecture

This is a great reference book for interior designers.

It is similarly formatted like a dictionary--there are color-coded tabs which help to distinguish the different sections. Also, it is chronologically laid out, which I thought was helpful, so you can see how various styles "evolved" over time.

My only criticism of Elements of Style is that the glossary was not extensive enough. I wish that instead of having to look up certain terms in the dictionary, I could have found them in the book itsel...more

An excellent and resourceful book that is packed with information on architectural styles. While the book emphasizes interior elements, there is also information pertaining to exterior stylistic elements.
