Money was exchanged instead of love...

Oh my gosh this book is so horrible it needs to be recategorized under horror stories.

This is just 150 pages of an extremely abusive marriage, with a father who eagerly sacrifices his daughter to obtain a higher social standing in his small English community. Makes me want to jab my eyeballs out with an ice pick or remove my skin with a vegetable peeler to distract from the pain for even bothering with this after reading the reviews, but I was curious. I think I need a lobotomy after this, truly terrible and worthless.

The hardest pill to swallow in this story is the age difference depicted in the front photo. I didn't find him that much older in the story but the front photo has him looking like her Grandfather. Not a bad story, it held my interest. The arranged married idea modernized added some humor to it.
